  1. 100% my theory as well. Added muscle hurt his flexibility and made the repeatability of mechanics more challenging.
  2. Is that mechanics driven though and therefore correctable? I’m not sure why else he’d suddenly lose velocity at his age short of suffering a major injury that we’re unaware of.
  3. I still think a cheap swingman with a guaranteed deal is possible.
  4. There is no guarantee he will return to form obviously, but there are some reasons for optimism and I don’t think you’re getting this high of a ceiling for any other pitcher in this price range. Also, let it be know that I think Giolito will rebound next year and be firmly in the 3 to 4 win range and that Kopech will take a big leap forward and finally become a 3+ win pitcher.
  5. For Lynn, they should try to get him to lose a little weight to take some pressure off his knees. He’s still a really good pitcher when he’s actually on the mound.
  6. So apparently we offered Madrigal & Dunning at the 2020 trade deadline for Clevinger before he was ultimately shipped off to the Padres.
  7. FWIW, Herb Lawrence said that he talked to some people in San Diego and they claimed he was a perfectly fine guy in their clubhouse. I agree what he did with the Indians was horrible (especially with Francona as manager), but I believe in giving people second chances if they show remorse, outside of certain truly evil things. That being said, I’m assuming (or at least hope) the Sox have done their homework on his character before signing him.
  8. And that would be awesome….let’s hope you’re right
  9. Orlando (Bartolo’s Colonoscopy) already banned me on Twitter and I had never even tweeted at him. These fake insiders have real thin skin apparently…lol.
  10. He apparently had an interest in playing in Chicago and/or for the White Sox, so it’s possible he took a little less than other offers with less desirable locations.
  11. I don’t think it’s been formally revealed yet. All we know is it’s a one year commitment and the total guarantee is greater than $8M.
  12. Let’s be honest, anyone who would pretend to be a White Sox insider to gain a “following” on social media is a massive fucking loser. The sad part is how many people buy into his bullshit.
  13. Unfortunately plot holes happen when you quickly race to steal someone else’s rumor without thinking it through properly
  14. I don’t think trading Giolito is the appropriate shake-up though. And one year of a 3+ win pitcher and a draft pick is better than what we’ll get in return for him via trade plus whatever we do with the $10M in savings.
  15. Footlong has to be the second worse fake Twitter insider behind only Bartolo’s Colonscopy aka Orlando. Also, very strange that Adam Maloney stopped posting here all that much once Footlong’s podcast started ramping up ?
  16. Morosi said more than $8M, so still not quite clear yet.
  17. I’ve come to terms that we won’t be extending him, but if we’re serious about competing next year we’re going to need the 2021 version of him at least.
  18. I really need the deal terms to leak so I can stop hitting refresh over and over.
  19. I just think he’s going to end up a reliever and I think we may need him sooner rather than later.
  20. I’d look into moving Stiever into a relief role in all honesty, but that requires adding a couple of arms to fill out the Knights’ rotation.
  21. Sean Burke or Jason Bilous right now. They should add a cheap swingman and try to acquire a AAA arm for Burger IMO. Edit: @Balta1701
  22. I’d be surprised if he agreed to a one year deal with a team option, but it would be a huge win for us.
  23. I really like this signing relative to other bargain bin options.
