  1. This isn’t about going from worst to playoff contender in one season, but tell where we have seen any real improvement.
  2. I can’t wait for the Eberflus & Getsy era to come to an end. These men should be legit embarrassed for being this incompetent at football management.
  3. FWIW, I saw a Royals fan on Twitter claim Watson has been a big problem to their scouting success and was soon to be fired. Who knows if true, but the fact he is a Royals guy doesn’t make me optimistic.
  4. Obviously take it with a lot of salt, but gross if this comes true.
  5. https://x.com/Steve02270/status/1704319285684846710?s=20
  6. I recall feeling this way about Pedro vs. Tony and that turned out to be untrue.
  7. More speed & athleticism would be great, but plate discipline & power are far more glaring holes. And realistically, where is speed and athleticism an actual problem? Robert is an all-world athlete in CF. Moncada & Anderson are great athletes when healthy on the left-side of the infield. Colas is fairly athletic for a guy of his size. So basically that leaves LF and 2B where you have your highest paid player in franchise history (who doesn’t fit this new focus) and a kid who is one of our few major league ready young players. Honestly, they’re simply going to trade Eloy for a guy to replace Colas in RF and call it a day. Throw in a Perez trade and that’s your 2024 positional group.
  8. Jerry should sell the team immediately if he’s so incompetent that Dave Wilder feels entitled to rip him.
  9. It’s honestly mind-boggling to me. We all get there is a serious talent deficiency with this roster, but the complete lack of hustle & heart on a nightly basis is beyond indefensible. We’ve also seen very little improvement from almost any of the players, in particular in regards to controlling the strike zone. And on top of that, he doesn’t convey any confidence that he knows what he’s doing when being interviewed in pressers. The guy is all around terrible and that should be clear as day to anyone who follows this team on the regular.
  10. This is guy is a bigger embarrassment than a fan sneaking a gun into the park via her fat fold.
  11. He’s a spineless coward…absolutely embarrassing that he gets a second year as manager instead of a lifetime banishment for his s%*#-show of a performance.
  12. Never a good sign when this is the 3rd post of the day and 2nd to last of evening. Didn’t even need to check the box scores to know it was a rough one.
  13. $20M more on Salvy, although my guess is we get $5M/year if his salary covered for a pair of C tier prospects. Should be fun paying top dollar for an over the hill catcher simply because we need a clubhouse enforcer.
  14. Brother - I am simply fucking with you. Pedro is the biggest embarrassment of the season and that’s really saying something. Getz retaining him is a major red flag to his credibility.
  15. Definitely need to bump after tonight’s massacre.
  16. Pedro didn’t build the roster though. And he’s not up there swinging the bat or throwing the pitches. He’s been telling the players exactly what they should be doing…it’s not his fault they don’t listen. Once we trade for Salvy, Pedro will have his enforcer in the clubhouse and players won’t have a choice but listen or risk a verbal beat-down from Salvy. Just need to be a bit more patient here brother.
  17. It’s not Grifol fault…he’s a first year manager. Give him a few seasons to figure this s%*# out. If we’re still losing a 100 games a season come 2025, then maybe you let him go. Until then everybody should get wayyyyyyyyyyy off his back.
  18. Luis Curbelo apparently not a Chris Getz fan
  19. It sounds like they tried trading for him at the deadline, but couldn’t agree on prospects. This reeks of the Lance situation where we ending trading for the following winter, but in this case Salvy is no longer a useful player.
  20. I loved that he literally said David couldn’t hit, had no power, had no speed, and was a poor defender, but would “beat you” and seemed to imply that’s what he wanted out of our minor leaguers…lol.
  21. The best is that Getz literally said him and Pedro would be in constant communication and clearly that’s not the case day 2 of Chris’ tenure.
  22. That’s exactly how I took their press conferences. Now that Lynn, Graveman, Kelly, & Middleton are gone, the “culture” is mostly fixed. Just need to trade for a sub-replacement Salvy to be team captain and the positional group will be ready to battle after they go through proper off-season preparations. Rotation wise, it’s going to be some patchwork until Nastrini, Mena, Eder, etc, are ready. But no doubt Getz expects those guys to provide serious innings for us next year. I’m expecting a few reliever splashes in free agency in hopes of building a 2014/15 Royals type back-end of the bullpen. Ultimately I think we see some rebound from the main guys, but we’ll still be a 3rd place team at best despite being in the worst division. We’ll get to the end of the year and we’ll hear that despite being under .500, the season was a success as it was only Getz’s first year on the job and he’s still learning. Just got to hope that Chris doesn’t mortgage the future to get that 3rd place season.
  23. If you hear them talk about “culture” issues, it sure seems like they are trying to blame the guys moved at the deadline. And they specifically mentioned guys being unable to stay healthy and how they plan to address it. To me, it sounds like they think this group can still win a shitty AL Central now that the cancers are all gone and with better off-season conditioning. Perhaps I’m putting too much weight on Jerry’s comments vs. Getz’s, but I truly believe they plan to roll the dice with this core next year alongside Salvy and some bridge pitching.
