  1. Yolbert might not even be here come 4:30pm. I think if the Sox felt he could play any prominent role they would have added him to the 40 man roster. And he’s really not a great option for SS defensively, at least not an everyday basis.
  2. Trading Hendriks alone doesn’t, but if moving him can allow us to solve a different hole while also freeing up cash it might. We can not go into next year with Eloy or Sheets expected to play prominent roles in the OF and we could probably use a LH bat for 2B as well. Not the ideal way yo do this, but I don’t see another option and Liam should command real value given the insane prices relievers are going for right now.
  3. 100% agree. I actually believe our core guys will improve a ton under Grifol, but you can’t bank on that alone making us a playoff team next year, especially not after losing our best hitter. Either tap into our prospect cupboard and acquire impact talent or start selling off pieces. Can’t half-ass this s%*# like the Sox love to do under Reinsdorf.
  4. Ended the 2021 season at 6th overall and won’t even be close top 10 once the Dodgers spend some money. I fucking despise Jerry Reinsdorf.
  5. Lol…to be a foodie you have to have a direct source in every organization and with every agent. That way you can make claims on what every GM and player is thinking at all times.
  6. Dodgers, Yankees, maybe Mariners. Could be others I don’t know about.
  7. Judge signing will get the OF market moving now. Need Correa, Boegarts, & Swanson to sign as well along with a Murphy trade to really open up the trade market for us. Seems like it’s going to be a minute before we see Hahn do much.
  8. You keep saying this, but how does defense exploit the new rules?
  9. Tuesday night is usually peak craziness and s%*# is completely dead right now. Hopefully something pops up in the next hour.
  10. Adam Engel sucks offensively, whereas Bellinger is simply below average
  11. That’s $5M short of our largest contract in franchise history. Meanwhile, this is like the 7th largest contract in the last five years for the Phillies.
  12. I actually think the 11-20 is pretty decent, but it quickly falls thereafter.
  13. I actually like the reverse order element, but did they actually tell everyone to sit still and pretend like you’re not at a draft lottery? Just weird to not see any excitement when teams actually jump up.
  14. Meanwhile, Gavin Sheets is our primary LF and we’re losing a year of control with Oscar Colás.
  15. MLB needs to improve this broadcast, because the complete lack of emotion is fucking weird as f***.
  16. Mike Shirley being our representative is hopefully good luck.
  17. Must be awesome to pursue good OFs in free agency when you actually need some OFs.
  18. Depends on what you do with the $37M, but I wouldn’t be optimistic about Jerry allowing us to sign a big 4 SS.
