This kid is something else. Here's a wrap up: Basically he rambles on again about getting disrespected because they didn't talk to him face to face about twitter like a man. Says the three geeks comment was directed at people he thinks talk to much when they shouldn't be talking. Makes it clear Rick Hahn, Scott Reifert, Dan Fabian are the three geeks. Says that he didn't get any special favors, nothing fed to him by the organization. That Buddy Bell thought he was an asset, and that was the reason why he was hired. It's not very nice by fans and others to say he was spoiled. He EARNED the respect in the minors and thats why they loved him. And wonders why the front office couldn't give him that same respect. Complaining about the website getting shut down, insinuated it was one man's doing, KW. Said Kenny lied to the papers last week about not having anything to do with shutting down the website. Said that it was ridiculous that they flipped out over twitter, names KW, Scott again. And lands a doozie on Rick Hahn saying he doesn't admit anything to people's faces, only talks behind peoples back. Says it contradictory that they want a reality show but his family can't have a website. His family might have their own reality show. Him and Ozzie Jr will have show on 670. Says thats all his opinion. But to me it seems to me like he's saying stuff he dad can't say publicly. He's kind of revealing conversations his dad has with his family. Ozzie's vents and frustrations are becoming public knowledge.

Maybe just like he said, he'll play better by getting consistent at-bats while playing hi favorite position. No more excuses now though. His dog seems to have more important things on his mind: "is the Tribune ever going to spell Mark Teahens name correctly?" per twitter I have faith in Buddy Bell's evaluation, he'll be serviceable.

"I like face to face conversation or man to man way better than behind your back." per OneyRoberto's twitter Why doesn't he give himself that advice. Unless he thinks talkin trash by twitter is manly. I like what one dude sent him on twitter: "you don't even know how lucky you have it, try spending a day working in real life then see if u would still act like ur 12" per Jamie_Gums twitter And he responds with some more helpfull advice that he should be directed towards himself: "Why don't u cry about it" per OneyRoberto twitter This all falls on Ozzie for raising a spoiled brat like that.

I envision CJ beating winning the backup infielder job. And I also predict Alexei struggling so much that there will be cries for Becks to move to SS and CJ to 2B. And it would be successfull. You heard it here first!

When all others fail, they'll make a late spring training trade for Dweezy. God willing.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 03:22 PM) Watch them pick that guy who jacked up his batman outfit. Or the guy who followed them around in the 05 playoffs with the neon Sox outfit One can only hope. As long as I get entertained, who cares if they make fun of stereotypes. Just as long as it's funny.

Looks like there may now be a reality show for Sox fans. Casting call til the end of March. WTF, right? I don't know. For those interested, make us proud: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/03/02/s...o_n_483099.html

KW playing chicken with Boras/Damon, it's very risky move. Might've just made the decision for Damn by pissing him off. He might not want to cower to KW's power play, and just say **** it, I'm going to D-town. I'd rather KW just tell them that 6 was the final offer, and keep it in house. He broke his own rule by not staying under the radar. Hopefully it works though.

Would love to watch this, but I don't have MLB network. Anyone know from last tear, if you can watch these episodes on their website?

Smoke and mirrors brothers. When the Sox realize the Adrain dream is over, I believe they will scoop up Damon. He would rather play for a contender, we make the most sense. I don't think the Rays could afford him, and wouldn't the Mariners have to tell Jr to f*** off to make space? What other possible winning team does he have left?

QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Nov 17, 2009 -> 06:42 PM) Journalism is like most non-specialist professions where it's not so much that, if pulled off the street, we couldn't do anything they could do; but more of the idea that they've put in the time to reach their positions. With experience, they'll say, will come invaluable teachings of the profession that can't be taught within a classroom. Bloggers threaten not only their livelihoods, but (and I know I'm reaching quite a bit) their accomplishments. Someone in a basement with a keyboard can reach just as many people, and have just as much influence, as any big-city journalist. This can't feel good. With Cowley, I'm sure he's been in the business for 10+ years. There's that voice in his head which repeatedly asks, "When will the Sun-Times wake up and realize that someone can do my job for much cheaper?" It doesn't even have to be a blogger. If Cowley had a whole host of sources that made him invaluable I could see it, but I'm very doubtful of that. If I was him I'd begin to think about my family and their future. If being arrogant and overly argumentative is his angle, similar to Hineybird, perhaps he'll always find a home at some newspaper. But he has to wonder, what will happen 20 years from now? Far as this rumor, I hope nothing changes as a result of it. If this same Angels source calls Jason tomorrow I'd expect him to post another story without hesitation. I know one of the arguments made by newspapers against bloggers is that there's no accountability. That when a story falls through or is proven false, there's no recourse. Conversly, when a source proves accurate the blog receives all the praise. They're only upset because it's the perfect world -- all of the benefit with limited risk. And really, Jason made it quite clear that it was only a rumor. Nothing was certain. It isn't his fault news organization, fearful of being scooped, pick up on a story. So this is an Angels source? Or did you just randomly name one of the teams?

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 07:01 PM) Walker ruined another one. Before Wise met Walker, he was a HOF type player. You said it brother, right on.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 9, 2009 -> 11:34 AM) who was that poster that was in Wise' corner earlier in the season, cant remember his name That was me, damn proud of it too. Sure, maybe my prediction that he'd "dominate the league" was over blown;) Even me, he's biggest fan, knew he should of never been in the leadoff hitter. He should of been buried in the 9 hole, without pressure, even though many here say that don't mean a damn. He will sign with someone, for sure. Away from Greg Walker, who knows what the black Ross Gload may accomplish.

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Sep 12, 2009 -> 10:21 AM) All I'm saying is that your gimmick is lame. Go ahead and interpret that criticism any way you like. Trying to blame everyone else is a normal reaction to addiction Kenny. I'm fine if you deny your problem to me, it's what you tell yourself thats important.

QUOTE (jamesdiego @ Sep 11, 2009 -> 09:42 PM) Sir, your post is highly offensive. Why do you insist on making us harcore porn addicts? Go push your “girl-on-girl” fetish onto others, we’re decent "softcore" folk around here. I might've had the wrong view on Kenny Hates Prospects' post, and if I did, I apologize. This might've just been your classic cry for help. Hardcore porn addiction effects millions Kenny, your friends here at Soxtalk love you and are with you. Just remember, there's alot of Sox things worth posting for in your life. As a start, maybe you should try to ween yourself off the "girl-on-girl” to "solo girl". We love you buddy.

QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Sep 11, 2009 -> 10:45 AM) Seriously, why don't you guys just look at porno or something? I don't understand the fascination with pics of girls in bikinis on the internet of all places. I mean it's one thing to hang some borderline tasteful poster in your garage, but the internet? That's like standing outside the candy store and slobbering all over yourself as you gawk at the Ethiopian kid sucking on a chunk of loose tar from the pavement. Jesus Christ, if people are so distracted by a booty that they can't think straight, then why not just check out one of the 9,846 brand new, hardcore girl-on-girl sites that have just been created in the last 14 seconds. If you've got a giant ass on your computer screen as your boss walks by then I doubt the 1/2 inch of string between the cheeks is going to make it or break it for you. Sir, your post is highly offensive. Why do you insist on making us harcore porn addicts? Go push your “girl-on-girl” fetish onto others, we’re decent "softcore" folk around here.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Sep 10, 2009 -> 03:05 PM) JamesDiego, with a nice insightful post. Now, go back to posing half-naked pictures of Kotsay’s wife. I have my moments. But no half-naked pics while the boys are playing good and still have a small chance. I wouldn't want to scare the very innocent & pure Gavin tonight and distract him with boobie pics, while we can cut it to 5.5 tonight. But I tell you this, if(yes, if) we get eliminated I'm going to unleash an orgy of photography upon this site the likes of which you guys have never seen. Yes, feminist and religious groups will probably protest, and the name Jamesdiego will be despised(and loved) by many. Lets hope it doesn't come down to that, even though some of you may prefer it.

As previously stated, I believe his suckiness has to do with the uncertainty of his future with the Sox, ala '07. I think it's time to move on. Lets say we sign him for another year, does pretty good in the first half of 2010. Then falls apart again in the second half all worried about his future with the Sox. I think it's more mental.

Eight Men Out might have been exaggerated and in some places false

Great stuff. Wish JR would had the balls to go ahead of the curve and put up a statue of 'Shoeless' Joe. .356 -

QUOTE (The Critic @ Sep 8, 2009 -> 03:13 PM) NOTHING is dropping for a hit in RF tonight. They might have some kind of Master Blaster thing going on. Which one is Master and which is Blaster? -
Hate Hawk. Wish Wimpy would come back someday for revenge and throw Hawk out of the booth(yes, literally). I Like Stone. Like Farmer, like the radio version DJ. And yes, I couldn't stand Rooney. Was too corny. (jumps in bush)

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 5, 2009 -> 03:51 PM) You have a problem with his high strikeout rate and you suggested Adam Dunn as an option? True, you're right. But I'd still rather have him over Thome because of his age, better production and for the change. It's looking like the Nats want some quality young pitching though, so that might take him out depending on what they want.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 5, 2009 -> 03:23 PM) Using your exact logic...how many of those guys have W.S. titles, or hell, even playoff runs, over the last couple years? Sure, my "exact logic", that you just pulled out of your ass. I didn't say I wanted these "World Series heroes" to take Jim's place, I said he wasn't a fit on our team. With his high strikeout rate per at bat, and his continued non-ablility to come through in the clutch(besides of sourse 163), it's time for a change. Also I'm a big believer in just changing things up when they don't go your way. Different personalities in the clubhouse, different mindset, whatever.
