That's it, I've had enough. Sorry mods, this team F______ SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
2nd time around and we are still clueless. Another lead off man on. I wonder if they will score again. Getting schooled by a 34-51 team. Woohoo!!!
-
This is one of the most maddenly consistent elements of these White Sox teams, apart from the terrible hitting Ozzie's complete stubbornness in the face of so much evidence to the contrary of his illogical decisions.
-
Caul, on a day when the Sox deserve all the rotten tomatoes we can throw at them this is hilarious!!!
-
I just thought the same thing. Man this zero offense is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO predictable. I bet teams don't even bother sending scouts to our games.
-
Fixed - I meant stacked right handed line up that should be teeing off on this softball tosser. He is literally throwing junk.
-
Not all is terrible. CQ got a nice jump and on his wobbly legs made a good effort to zero in on that ball, but man it was hit hard. He is up to 57 pitches already. Don't see him making it past the 6th inning at this rate. And they are really pasting his fastball.
-
How the hell is this humanly possible? 1. We have a power pitcher against a weak hitting team that is making good contact and crushing the ball on occasion!!! 2. We have a stacked power hitting line up hitting little love taps against a washed up softball melon tossing left hander and seemingly have no timing andno clue as to what's coming to the plate!!! WTF WTF WTF WTF???? I am seriously annoyed with this continual pathetic performance.
-
This. He sure seems dis-interested out and lazy as £^%$@!! Even if we were to put him on waivers don't think we have any takers due to that horrible salary. He would have to have a fabulous July for anyone to have rmeote interest.
-
I have just about as much patience as the next guy but damnit can't we ever start a game without being outplayed and outhustled in the first dang inning?? I swear its been so long since we played some fundamental baseball.

How Will Dayan progress in his MLB career?

That´s cool DA, I just wanted to make a positive, fun poll to hear opinions. Wasn´t really trying to get analytical sabermetric type projections just what people see and think of his talent potential. Thanx for chiming in anyway with Balta so far. -
I think I asked this in either a GT or the catch-all. Does Rem project as a long reliever, Set up man, or closer?
-
DA, ironically we already have our own MC Lite in Dayan Viciedo who I think will blossom quite well at the Cell. I just made a poll for fun about him. Hope you cast a vote.
-
OK Guys, to make an attempt at a fun projection poll I was hoping to get some votes on who you thought DV will best resemble in his first few years in a White Sox uniform, which we now know is a matter of not if but when. He has accomplished just about everything he can tool-wise in AAA and is tearing up the league hitting and with SLG%. I definitely see a resemblence to Miguel Cabrera in raw talent and not having it all together in the areas of work ethic (Vastly improved though), and plate discipline. Let´s make this a fun summer time poll. Just want to keep continuing to contribute to the recent positive upswing on the board and put in my 2 cents. Please let me now if you don´t think any of these comparisons hold water and who you would compare him to.
-
Caul, both points are very good and have merit. I don´t see the fanbase just reversing their appetite to come to the ball park over the next 2 months. But I did preface the thread with "Only if we continue to be All In".
-
In hindsight I have to agree with you Greg. Getting bowled over by half a year of MVP performance is just being too naive in this baseball market. If Reyes had been a yearly MVP candidate without the injury history then maybe I could see the argument. But the fact is we need a very explosive lead off hitter/base stealer with his kind of toolset. They just don´t grow on trees.
-
Is he projected as a future closer or set-up man if he does well in AAA?
-
Make him stop chewing that silly bubble gum he brings as a ritual to the plate on almost every at bat with half of it sticking out of his mouth, GROSS!
-
Hell I know I will get flamed but what the heck. We have about 30 million coming off the books and should be in the 95-97 million range for next year. What if: We go after Jose Reyes? I know we have an ultra-dependable SS in Alexei already but this guy´s performance is off the charts and he is the MVP so far in the NL!!! I am thinking it is going to take Carl Crawford money to start the conversation (7/142). I know there would be some negative fanbase reaction to trading Alexei (We could get some decent young players for the farm) but we get the perfect lead-off machine who has learned to draw walks, already makes contact, and is a crazy stolen base machine!!! I dunno if you can get a more proto-typical hitter than Jose Reyes. OK Flame away. :chair :huh

Gamethread: 6/26/2011, 1:10 p.m.; Nationals @ White Sox

There has to come a point in time where changes have to be made in order to try and improve the situation (I am not saying wholsale changes but something). You just can't keep trotting out the same recipe for mediocracy day after day and expect any level of consistency. Dunn seemingly cannot snap out of this on his own and for the love of God he justs needs to sit for an extended period. We are past the point where the 14 million dollar salary is what is keeping him in the line-up. -
JR pretty much squashed that idea with his comments in the article posted today in the forum.
-
What kind of BA/OBP and Power numbers do we really expect from Rios to make a real difference? A BA of at least.260 with a .330 OBP and 20-25HR/70-80RBI? Is that un-reasonable to expect?
-
For what its worth JR also back both KW and Ozzie and believe they can co-exist and see no reason to split them up even until the end of next year. :huh Fox Sports Link: http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/jerry-r...s-season-060611
