  1. EMT, I agree. It is still too early and the Indians don´t really have the pitching or hitting to maintain this pace (But who really knows??). I think they should start to fold in June/July.
  2. OK, I had it reversed then. Birmingham´s stadium must be the difficult park to hit in. JPN is that correct?
  3. Can anyone correct me if I am wrong? Charlotte is not exactly a hitter´s park and DV is getting it done. On the road as well. The splits agree although he is much better on the road. Entire Season AVG G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS OBP SLG OPS Home Games .292 25 96 11 28 7 0 4 19 5 15 0 0 .320 .490 .810 Away Games .343 17 70 11 24 4 0 4 17 7 15 0 0 .410 .571 .982 Man if he develops a bit more discipline and learns to draw walks his OBP will be in the .390-.400 range.
  4. My point wasn´t to complain about Paulie getting time off as much as Dunn as a liability. OT but relavent. Viciedo is really rakin, 2 more HR today. Dunno what else he can to deserve a call up.
  5. Why won´t he hit a ton of HR´s and start mashing in response to our complaints all year long???
  6. Great Ozzie, another one of your hair brain schemes backfiring. Dunn is horrible at the plate so far this year and we all know he is a defensive liability at first and what do you do? Put him out there and he misses on a sharp grounder Paulie would have scooped up. Ozzie is so damn hard headed it is incredible.
  7. Little Lillibridge, he made some good catches and was excellent with the bat!! :headbang
  8. What about this? DFA Pierre and keep Lillibridge in left. Can´t be any worse and I really see some effort from Lilli this year on both the O & D sides of the house.
  9. I was about to say let´s not F up this RISP attempt but we are 5-13 now today so can´t complain too much.
  10. Even AJ is starting to turn it around. Come on Dunn get it together!!!!
  11. I´ll have to say this about Lillibridge, it seems this year he is playin for keeps. His whole outlook and demeanor seem to indicate he has a lot more confidence. His outfield defense (especially his jumps on the ball) is really good. Anyone have a different opinion?
  12. Is it too early to declare this contract an albatross of equal proportions to the Cub´s Soriano fiasco?
  13. That last 92-93 MPH 2 seamer to blow away Choo (Who has been a left handed thorn in our side) was especially cool.
  14. At the moment we are paying him $14 million to strike out at more than a 40% clip.
  15. OT: Bulls lost and played terrible 2nd half. Man what a way to end a great night.
  16. JFP pitched absolutely lights out and spotted his pitches really well. Really looked like 2007 form.
  17. Can't we send Dunn down and bring up Viciedo? What are the terms of MLB contracts regarding being sent down? Might as well send down Beckham while we are at it.
  18. Yup, Gameday had him with a 93 MPH 2 seamer to blow Shoo away!! He had his Cy Young stuff tnight, absolutely dominating, movement on the FB and his slider was really nasty too. Jakemeister!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. My bad, i thought he was outta gas. The Jakemeister!!!
  20. Not sure on this one, he has a 101 pitch count now. Sergio has been really good so far. Maybe he should close it out?? JFP did a great job.
  21. JCM, was that a 4 seam or 2 seam FB h hit 95 on the gun with? Bet it was 4 seam.
  22. JPN/Danman, do we have anyone apart from Leesman in AA who looks worthy of getting promoted to the Charlotte rotation? It seems this year they are really terrible. Every time I look at a box score a Charlotte starter is getting shelled!!! WTF???
  23. Get er done fellas, Danksie up tonight. let's keep kickin some butt!!
  24. Scott Merkin has a nice article up as part of his MLB notebook. Talks about the down side of baseball being a business and how Danksie loves pitcing here but is aware of KW being uber agressive at trade deadline time or after the season.
