QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 09:52 AM) all I can think about is that huge jack he hit off of us in ST to straight center field, damn I was at that game and it was maybe the fartherst I have ever seen someone hit a baseball in my entire life. It was absolutely crushed. Not only was it straight to center field, that wall he hit it over is enormous.

QUOTE(retro1983hat @ May 19, 2005 -> 10:50 AM) We ended up going to the casino in Dubuque, Iowa and left as early as we could the next day. Home sweet home...

Holy s***...I don't know if everybody saw this latest article from the Trib (this morning) but this is some high comedy stuff. Ozzie is insane. He really might have lost it. -
Yeah I've got it on too. One thing I've noticed is Stat Boy Tony lately has been using "He Gone" when one of the guys gets eliminated. Mariotti -- He Gone!

QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 09:47 PM) During the regular season that is the case. For the playoffs I guess it's different because you can change the rosters after each round. Interesting...that is news to me...thank you for the clear-up gentlemen. DON'T WORRY EVERYBODY...NO NEED FOR ALARM!!!

QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 09:43 PM) That was just for tonight, he'll be ready for Sunday. Am I missing something or are there not a certain amount of games you must sit out if you are placed on the list...I thought it was a mandatory 5 games out or something...maybe I'm just on crack tonight.

QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) what? When did Chandler's injury go from a mild ankle sprain and "should play on Sunday" to being put on the Injured List?

Ummm...s***.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 08:51 AM) What's the deal with him not being embalmed..? I've heard conflicting stories about that having something to do with him being granted sainthood.. They only use a fermeldahide solution so that in the case that he may be cannonized in say...50 years...they would open his coffin and see if he has been naturally preserved...indicating a miracle. Kind of a disturbing thought but it has been done throughout history.

QUOTE(Mplssoxfan @ Apr 6, 2005 -> 10:02 PM) I'm a bartender, so I've already seen that ad plenty of times, each time with someone laughing and asking, "Is that yours?" The Twins also have an ad which they are running on bus stops near colleges and universities in the area with a college-aged kid wearing a Sox cap and jersey, hanging from a coat hook with a wedgie. It's for their student nights, and it explains that they will even sell to Sox fans. It's worth a chuckle or two, I guess. Yeah I see them all the time up here and have to admit they are pretty funny ads...both the jersey one on TV and the billboards. Off topic for a second...where do you bartend at up here?

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 08:59 AM) For my money I really like Samsung... Just for the record, Samsung actually makes all the TVs that Dell sells under their name.

QUOTE(orangekrush88 @ Feb 5, 2005 -> 04:52 PM) And on a side-note DAMN, who was that sideline reporter, was it Marisa Miller or something like that? Holy hell...that girl was unbelievable. And yeah Rogers was pretty impressive too...might make my 9ers choice a little easier. But forget that...thank God for Marissa Miller (if thats her name). -
QUOTE(Soxguy @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 09:16 PM) Did anyone click the link for best and worst cities for men??? Here's an interesting tidbit lol The Limpest Cities 1. Chicago, IL 2. Washington, DC 3. Atlanta, GA 4. Detroit, MI 5. Houston, TX Just for the record...I get Men's Health and I remember reading in that article that the data they used to judge the "limpest cities" was based on reported cases or diagnosed problems. They made a slight side-note in regards to the fact that Chicago may simply have more men to admit it or to seek help...partially due to those certain ads by Da Coach.

QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Jan 19, 2005 -> 08:37 PM) Why on earth should we? Thats the main reason I hate the NBA, none of them play as a team because they want more money. No this tread is actually a good debate on a topic that there is seemingly no correct answer to.
