Robertson on Nats radar
en Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 1m1 minute ago Sources: #Nationals focused on #Pirates’ Melanin. Not looking good for Nats as landing spot for Robertson. Lots of other possible teams though.

AAP: Omar Narvaez
Omar Narvaez was called up to the White Sox on July 6th. He has only appeared in two games, but has two hits in his first five big league at bats.

White Sox Listening on Sale
QUOTE (FT35 @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 12:29 PM) Anyone else find the absurdity in teams scouting Chris Sale!? Why don't they save their scouting budget and just watch Sports Center where most of his pitches usually make highlights anyway. It's like us sending a scout to watch Clayton Kershaw...to see if he has what it takes to be good some day. Ha only thing I can think of is there has been some concern about his strikeout totals this year. His K/9 rate has dropped from a career high 11.8 to 8.6 this season. If the scouts wanted to see more strikeouts, they didn't get it last night.

White Sox Listening on Sale
QUOTE (Condor13 @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 11:55 AM) Bob Nightingale The #Whitesox still want Joey Gallo and Nomar Mazara from #Rangers in any deal for Chris Sale The fact it is Nightingale and he mentions specific names tells me discussions are happening and games are being played. He doesn't get that info by accident.

QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 07:49 PM) Spencer Adams getting knocked around. What a ridiculous promotion. I think this promotion has more to do with him getting to work with J.R. Perdew on a everyday basis then Spencer pushing the issue. He is very well respected within the organization.

White Sox Listening on Sale
I am to the point in this saga where if he stays, I am happy, and if he goes, I'll also be happy because it should be for a unheard return. It is pretty clear from all the rumors that Hahn is asking for a monster return and not budging, rightfully so.

White Sox Listening on Sale
QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 12:26 PM) Heard Kenny's guy -- Bob Nightengale of USA Today -- on Buster Olney's podcast today. he says Frazier is most likely to go. He said that he did not expect Sale to be traded until the off season. Olney said that he believed Robertson would be dealt because of the contract. Nightengale mostly agreed. That was pretty much it. No mention of Q, Melky or Duke. Surprised about the Frazier news.

The Possibility of the Curve Ball from the Sox...
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 11:25 AM) If I'm Hahn, I'm only using Texas for posturing. I disagree, I think Profar, Gallo, and especially Mazara are pretty enticing. I am not sure why the hate on Profar, he struggled last season with injuries and now healthy as a 23 year-old is hitting .296/.349/.414 in the big leagues. Gallo's swing and miss is concerning, but he has Chris Davis type upside with unworldly raw power.

The Top 30 White Sox Prospects, Midseason 2016
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 09:28 AM) The first two are really one thing, and the fastball tops more like 95-96. Are you evaluating based on one outing? The Sox rushed him. He was just starting to get a good rhythm as a starter in BHAM, and I think they made a huge mistake doing what they did. I agree 100% with NorthSide here, they rushed Anderson and Fulmer to help the big league club try to stay in contention. Anderson (surprisingly to me) showed he belongs, Fulmer is a different case entirely. If the Sox have any aspirations of him sticking in their rotation, they need to send him back down to keep working with Birmingham's pitching coach J.R. Perdew. Perdew was his pitching coach in Winston-Salem and helped him through his early season struggles in Birmingham.

QUOTE (Bruce_Blixton @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 01:03 PM) Amado Nunez has been flying under the radar so far, he's been having a pretty impressive year for an 18 year old in the AZL. I guess his defense needs a lot of work right now but a .330/.355/.452/.808 line over 115 ABs is pretty encouraging. Not flying under the radar with FutureSox....not sure if you noticed he wasn't in the 16-30 list released yesterday

White Sox Listening on Sale
QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 12:06 PM) Can someone with insider access please summarize the Bowden suggested trades please? The link is referred above but here it is again: http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/the-gms-of...r/post?id=12715 Basically, White Sox would ask for Boegarts or Betts, Red Sox would say no and they would settle for Moncada, Kopech, Swihart, and Rodriguez. Same story with Rangers and etc. I just don't think the Sox would settle in this instance. No reason for them to.

White Sox Listening on Sale
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 10:28 AM) http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2016/07/cent...nez-antony.html These Jim Bowden's trade packages are dumb. The conversation would end after what the Sox ask for, there would be no rebuttal from the opposing GM.

Robertson on Nats radar
QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 11:04 AM) Jon MorosiVerified account @jonmorosi Word in industry this morning is #Nats have intensified their efforts to acquire a reliever after last night's walk-off loss. @MLB If we could get Robles and/or Fedde for Robertson I think I would be pretty pleased.

Marlins scouting Mig Gonzalez
I know the pitching market is wacky, but I would be floored if the Marlins dealt the #2 overall pick from two years ago for a 32 year-old journeyman.
