8/27 Games
I am just scouting the stat line but damn Jaden Woods (acquired in the Jacob Gonzalez trade) can really rack up some strikeouts. 14.9 K/9 so far in Chicago and 44 strikeouts over 28 AAA innings.

8/20 GT - Braves @ White Sox (1:10pm CT)
Great outing from Hagan. He really filled up the zone. Happy to see him become a late-inning weapon for this team after a inconsistent year at Charlotte

Road Trip
Having been to all of them I would recommend the North Carolina teams and use Charlotte as your base. The Knights ballpark is absolutely gorgeous and in downtown Charlotte so you could get a hotel room and walk to games. Kannapolis is an easy 30 minute drive from Charlotte and Winston-Salem is approximately 1.5 hours so a bit more of a trek so I would make that more dependent on your schedule. If you are coming from the Midwest I would recommend stopping in Asheville for a night or two and checking out the Biltmore, the breweries around town and venture into the local national forests that surround it. Enjoy!

FutureSox Mid-Season Top 30
Great work as usual from the FS team. It is brutal how little contribution the international market is giving their system. Four prospects on this list and they are all in the bottom half (#15, #19, #29 and #30). It would be hard to find another system with that poor of return on investment. The silver lining is Bonemer was a draft steal and they have several prospects that are going to help the big league club this season. The Sox desperately need this 2026 draft class to be special for depth purposes.

Castillo to Sox for Dominguez, Boston Smith, Nolan Jones per Passan
https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/49464501/mlb-trade-deadline-2026-ranking-prospects-changed-teams FWIW Boston Smith was ranked by Kiley McDaniel as the 10th best prospect moved so far at the deadline in the +35 FV tier. Write-up below: Smith has already been traded twice in about a year since signing for $50,000 with the Nationals as a 2025 sixth-rounder out of Wright State. He's a fringy defender with an average arm, so there's a shot he sticks behind the plate. Smith has real power that he's tapping into this year with plenty of walks but also some heavy in-zone miss that limits his contact upside. This is an intriguing lottery ticket from an unusual background.

7/29 Games
He has such a powerful compact swing. Bat is off his shoulder and through the zone effortlessly. It's so impressive he's doing this to AA pitching at 20 years old.

7/23 Games
I would guess Fauske is the most likely "big name" trade bait when Getz is shopping for a deadline upgrade. He's got some helium from his solid season but he's years away from contributing to the major league team and he does not have the ceiling of Carlson.

Great job @Y2Jimmy0 and the entire team at FS! This is a draft for the history books.

Bonemer is a dude. A great find for the scouting department and he looks like he's developing really nicely. He will be in all the top 100 lists pre-season 2026

2025 MLB Draft
Billy Carlson, SS, Corona HS (CA) Rank: 8 Carlson is in play to varying degrees at most picks starting around No. 5, with a floor around No. 12 and hot spots from 8 to 10, so this is right around what he should be expecting. The White Sox may be the highest on JoJo Parker and his brother Jacob, but I don't think they can get JoJo down to their pick. Steele Hall, Josh Hammond and Gavin Fien are also tied here in a very prep hitter-heavy mix, with prep LHP Kruz Schoolcraft a long shot/later overpay possibility. Keep an eye on Gavin Turley and Mason Ligenza at later picks. From Kiley's latest mock on ESPN this morning.

FutureSox Writers' Highs and Lows
I don't think there is any doubt that he will be on the 2019 preseason list. But I would anticipate some growing pains if they start him at Kannapolis next year. If he handles that as a 19 year-old, watch out.

Top 30 White Sox Prospects, Midseason 2018 - FULL LIST
Ranking the outfielders in the system beyond Eloy/Robert is a really difficult proposition. It's really pick your flavor on floor versus raw tools and ceiling. I'd have Gonzalez over Rutherford, but it is important to remember Rutherford is nearly two years younger than Gonzalez and showing substantial improvement this year.

Midseason 16-30 - the back half of the FutureSox T30
FutureSox will have an interview with tons of Bush information in the week or so!

Midseason 16-30 - the back half of the FutureSox T30
I didn't rank Bush personally because of fear of the dreaded sample sample size, but what he is doing in a limited look is really, really impressive. If he finishes the year strong in Great Falls, he should start 2019 in Kannapolis as a 19 year-old and will be fascinating to follow there.

SoxFest and the Farm
QUOTE (KnightsOnMintSt @ Jan 30, 2018 -> 04:26 PM) Based on the comments, Robert has to be starting in Kannapolis, right? That would be my educated guess. But I think he goes to Winston-Salem if he REALLY impresses in Spring Training though.
