  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 18, 2016 -> 03:36 PM) http://m.mlb.com/news/article/196314020/pi...picid=151437456 Not surprised at all at the "staying tall" aspect, pitchers (and pitching coaches) I've talked to in the organization repeat that phrase ad naseum. I'd like to look at some video for the glove thing, I wonder how big a difference that is.
  3. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Aug 16, 2016 -> 10:15 PM) How many pitches did Hansen throw? 85.
  4. Hansen was effectively wild and had nearly as many balls as strikes. I'm planning on talking to him and his pitching coach soon, I have a feeling they are really taking it slow with his mechanics before promoting him.
  5. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...s-on-the-power/ Big nights for Alvarez, Zangari, and Ledo.

    8/8 Games

    QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Aug 8, 2016 -> 09:03 PM) Adolfo is showing more power. That's great to see. Adolfo now has homered in back-to-back games and has three bombs in his past five games. To put that in perspective, he only had five home runs over 68 games in 2014 and 2015. He has legit 40 homer potential, it is a GREAT sign it is starting to show in games.

    http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...ing-aa-hitters/ Adolfo power tool starting to show in games and Burdi keeps mowing them down.
  15. en Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal 1m1 minute ago Sources: #Nationals focused on #Pirates’ Melanin. Not looking good for Nats as landing spot for Robertson. Lots of other possible teams though.
  16. Omar Narvaez was called up to the White Sox on July 6th. He has only appeared in two games, but has two hits in his first five big league at bats.
  17. QUOTE (FT35 @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 12:29 PM) Anyone else find the absurdity in teams scouting Chris Sale!? Why don't they save their scouting budget and just watch Sports Center where most of his pitches usually make highlights anyway. It's like us sending a scout to watch Clayton Kershaw...to see if he has what it takes to be good some day. Ha only thing I can think of is there has been some concern about his strikeout totals this year. His K/9 rate has dropped from a career high 11.8 to 8.6 this season. If the scouts wanted to see more strikeouts, they didn't get it last night.
  18. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 11:55 AM) Bob Nightingale The #Whitesox still want Joey Gallo and Nomar Mazara from #Rangers in any deal for Chris Sale The fact it is Nightingale and he mentions specific names tells me discussions are happening and games are being played. He doesn't get that info by accident.

  20. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 07:49 PM) Spencer Adams getting knocked around. What a ridiculous promotion. I think this promotion has more to do with him getting to work with J.R. Perdew on a everyday basis then Spencer pushing the issue. He is very well respected within the organization.
  21. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20160728 Adams, Thompson, and Martinez are the scheduled starters.
  22. I am to the point in this saga where if he stays, I am happy, and if he goes, I'll also be happy because it should be for a unheard return. It is pretty clear from all the rumors that Hahn is asking for a monster return and not budging, rightfully so.
  23. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 12:26 PM) Heard Kenny's guy -- Bob Nightengale of USA Today -- on Buster Olney's podcast today. he says Frazier is most likely to go. He said that he did not expect Sale to be traded until the off season. Olney said that he believed Robertson would be dealt because of the contract. Nightengale mostly agreed. That was pretty much it. No mention of Q, Melky or Duke. Surprised about the Frazier news.
  24. Jonathan Mayo ‏@JonathanMayo 19m19 minutes ago Jonathan Mayo Retweeted Kent Bazemore Huge Adams fan. He's not in next group to go on #Top100, maybe after that. Some wld like to see him miss more bats.
  25. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 11:25 AM) If I'm Hahn, I'm only using Texas for posturing. I disagree, I think Profar, Gallo, and especially Mazara are pretty enticing. I am not sure why the hate on Profar, he struggled last season with injuries and now healthy as a 23 year-old is hitting .296/.349/.414 in the big leagues. Gallo's swing and miss is concerning, but he has Chris Davis type upside with unworldly raw power.
