  1. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...filiates-sweep/ Recap posted. A rare sweep for the Sox affiliates.
  2. QUOTE (Dunt @ May 12, 2016 -> 08:25 AM) Cooper had a nice game last night Intriguing guy. I saw him pitch last year when he was a reliever and wondered "why isn't this guy starting?" He has four pitches and an usual extreme overhand delivery that gives him some good sink. Been a pleasant surprise and added bonus to our system if he can continue as a SP.
  3. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ May 12, 2016 -> 08:22 AM) What's going on with Courtney Hawkins? Oblique injury. Should be back anytime now.
  4. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ May 11, 2016 -> 12:25 PM) 6 walks for Fulmer over 4 innings, yikes Just walked the first two batters of the 5th...and he is pulled. Frightening lack of control and command this season for Fulmer.
  5. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20160511 http://mlbfarm.com/index.php?team=CWS&date=2016-05-11 Barons already underway leading 1-0. Fulmer has two scoreless innings, but has already walked three. Marin pitching for Charlotte and Cooper for Winston-Salem. Kannapolis has the day off.
  6. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...-perfect-night/ Recap posted with notes on Guerrero, Daily, and Zangari.
  7. QUOTE (knightni @ May 10, 2016 -> 03:12 PM) I'd rather have Kelly Johnson over Markakis. He's more versatile. True, but we already have versatile defenders who can't hit. Markakis rakes against righties. I wouldn't be mad if Sox acquired him, especially if it is significantly cheaper than Reddick/CarGo.
  8. http://mlbfarm.com/index.php?team=CWS&date=2016-05-10 http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20160510 Doubleheader for the Knights with Erik Johnson getting game one. No starter announced for game two. Birmingham-Guerrero Winston-Salem-Brennan Kannapolis-TBA
  9. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...e-a-hit-parade/ Recap posted with notes on Hayes, the Barons offense, and Matt Ball.
  10. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...dominant-again/ Recap posted. Frebis might be turning into a diamond in the rough (33rd round pick).
  11. QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ May 8, 2016 -> 04:22 PM) Would love to get an updated scouting report on Adams, it's baffling to see a pitcher with his stuff getting hit around like he had been. Maybe he needs to learn to throw more pitches out of the zone, or maybe he needs to work on his command so he could throw more quality strikes instead of down the middle strikes. Had no idea Ynoa got promoted to AAA already, guess they like what they saw during the spring. Adams intentionally pounds the strike zone. He told me back in August he would rather give him a hit than a walk "100%" of the time. As he refines his stuff, I am sure J.R. Perdew (Birmingham) and Richard Dotson (Charlotte) will work with him on playing inside and outside the zone. As for now, I think the pitching coaches are thrilled to have a 20 year-old who has given up 29 walks in 208 professional innings.

  13. QUOTE (southside hitman @ May 5, 2016 -> 01:30 PM) Possibly, though Danish's appeal will vary wildly from organization to organization. He has a funky motion that has many scouts screaming reliever or future injury risk. So the team that values Danish the most might be the White Sox. Example of what I am talking about with Keith Law's chat today.... "Kareem: Tyler Danish seems to be making some strides repeating AA, is he still solely projectable as a RP? Klaw: I can’t see him as a starter with that delivery or going through a lineup 3x with his stuff. I could see him as a really effective long guy like Adam Warren last year, making some spot starts, but mostly going through lineups once and getting groundballs." Though him saying he could be a long reliever is more optimistic/kind then he was earlier.
  14. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ May 5, 2016 -> 01:10 PM) Trade chip? Possibly, though Danish's appeal will vary wildly from organization to organization. He has a funky motion that has many scouts screaming reliever or future injury risk. So the team that values Danish the most might be the White Sox.
  15. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...-keeps-rolling/ recap posted. Danish continuing to show consistent results.
  16. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20160504 Morning baseball for the Knights and Dash. Miguel Gonzalez getting the start for Charlotte and auditioning for that 5th starter spot.
  17. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...t-at-the-plate/ Recap posted. Danny Hayes is ON FIRE
  18. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...wo-hit-shutout/ Recap posted. Kanny combined to throw a two-hitter.
  19. http://mlbfarm.com/index.php?team=CWS&date=2016-05-02 http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20160502 Birmingham about to get underway.
  20. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...streaks-busted/ Recap posted. Sunday was a streak busting type of day.
  21. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...-positive-note/ Recap posted. Sox affiliates win four out of five games. Hopefully they carry the momentum over to May.
  22. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 30, 2016 -> 04:15 PM) Basto on fire. Three more hits. Unreal numbers especially considering he hit .208/.278/.341 between Kannapolis and Winston-Salem last year. He's 22 so young enough to be a prospect but he hasn't stuck anywhere defensively.
  23. http://mlbfarm.com/index.php?team=CWS http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20160430 Both links so y'all are all happy. Winston-Salem already underway, down 1-0.
  24. http://www.chicagonow.com/future-sox/2016/...a-dash-victory/ Basto and Cooper lead the way.
  25. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 27, 2016 -> 12:49 PM) Mason Robbins gets the cycle. That's the second Dash hitter to have one in 6 days. Prior to that, the Dash say it was 2,900 days since the last one. He was drafted as a shortstop, and he was... not good there. I have a funny story about that from sitting at a game next to a scout once. He was then moved to 3B, and wasn't good there either. Then the outfield. Now first base. He's a guy without a defensive home, which is a problem. If he can be competent in the OF at least, he's got some intrigue as a prospect. At first base, not sure there is anything there. I knew he had....defensive limitations. Looks like he has played every game this year at DH or 1B which isn't ideal. But Sox have a current opening at DH so....
