Mena with an economical 1st. 10 pitches. Touched 95 on the fastball. One punchout. Strikeout came on the only breaking pitch he threw in the inning.

?

The writeup sure makes him sound like an early 1st round talent.

BA has him up to 39 from 105 now. Kudos.

Seems BA has updated the top 300 draft rankings. https://www.baseballamerica.com/rankings/2022-mlb-draft-top-prospects/ Will note some of the bigger or relevant jumps/drops in the top 50. Though plenty of this movement is reflected in recent mock drafts. Number in parenthesis indicates the previous ranking.

It seems JJ Muno just pitched for Birmingham. That's fun.

Sounds like Eloy coming out early was/is a pre-planned thing for anyone that might be worrying.

On field delay at the Dash game as someone has run onto the field during Ramos' AB. He rips off his shirt and has a Cleveland Browns jersey underneath? He has now thrown a book on the field then put on some sunglasses?! He now rips off the Browns Jersey and has a polo underneath. Golf cart chasing him? Tackled now. Has left a pile of white stuff on the field? Is it popcorn? It's popcorn.

Colson homer. Lined it out to right field.

Gladney homer.

Probably doesn't really matter much, but Sosa seems to be hitting in the 3 hole today. Has spent most of the season leading off or hitting 2nd. Smacks a liner into left field for a single in his first at bat.

I just went back and watched his final AB. He grounded out to third. Ran it out and nothing seemed catastrophic.

Looks like Adolfo replaced Eloy in LF after his 3rd inning AB.

Yup. I've spent lots of time watching Low A this season. Nothing reinforces that these guys are still developing more than some of the brutal defense on display.

Colas now doubles off the center field wall. Two two baggers.

Colas doubles off the right field wall. Almost took it out.

Kath starts his night off with a line drive single to right field. He's on it lately.

Sommer pitching for Kanny tonight. In case anyone else was wondering if it was going to be Vera.
