  1. You read "hitch" from a website I've never heard of, despite him being graded as having one of the best hit tools in this draft class by all notable, reputable, respected publications, and now he's a no go?
  2. Luis Gonzalez with HR number 7. Really need to see what he can do in W-S.

http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?sid=milb&org=145&ymd=20180527 Double header for Kannapolis today. KAN 1: Battenfield KAN 2: TBD? W-S: Lambert BHAM: Clarkin CHA: Roach
  4. Shrug. Slumps happen. I'm still all aboard the Madrigal train. I'm still sold on his tools across the board with some optimism on the power potential. I reckon it's going to come down to him and Singer at this point. Though to be honest Kelenic is still an intriguing option.
  5. Playing UCLA, which has a decent amount of 2019 draft prospects in Strumpf, Kriedler, Toglia, and Garcia who is pitching today. Oregon State also has Adley Rutschman who we should be paying attention to as well. Could very well be a top of the 1st round guy in the '19 draft.
  6. I truly hope we cash Jose in for something nice.
  7. Four. Three of them in a row.
  8. Now with 3 BBs though.
  9. Anyone watching Carson? Or are we all Fulmered out at this point?
  10. The arm slots aren't that different. That might also be why the sliders have so much vertical movement.
  11. Not sure. I've never seen anything on Singer throwing what is called a curveball. Despite it sometimes looking like one, every single breaking pitch I've seen him throw has been called or referred to as a slider. Shrug. Semantics?
  12. I'm pretty sure what you are referring to as a curveball is his slider.
  13. I think the best I've seen his stuff is the first YouTube result you get when you search his name. Believe it's him pitching against Lousville last season. Some nasty movement on, well, everything. I haven't seen enough of that this season to be enamored yet. Either way, I'll sure to tune in to what will likely be his last start before the draft next week.
  14. Yea. I'm still pretty meh on Singer. I can be talked into it, it's just a boring, safe pick.
  15. 1. Tigers: Casey Mize, RHP, Auburn Mize's last two regular-season starts were his worst of the year, but his combination of stuff and precision is still unparalleled in this Draft. Georgia Tech catcher Joey Bart appears to be Plan B, and Detroit also is keeping tabs on Wichita State third baseman Alec Bohm, Wisconsin high school outfielder Jarred Kelenic and Florida right-hander Brady Singer.
  16. New Callis mock. https://www.mlb.com/news/mock-draft-college-players-get-picked-early/c-278228058?tid=151437456
  17. Went back and read some of the chats. Kiley's concern is in the loft of the swing. That's less concerning.
  18. Butts 12:59 Curious on your take on Griffin Roberts. Starter? Heard his change looked pretty okay yesterday. Keith Law 12:59 His change was there in March too. It's the delivery. There isn't a starter in the majors who looks like that.
  19. Law chat going on. Get those draft questions in. http://meadowparty.com/blog/2018/05/25/klawchat-5-25-18/
  20. I've always been intrigued by Jenistsa. I believe Kiley has commented on multiple occasions that his swing needs to be reworked once drafted though.
  21. I would love Seigler. I'm not sure he makes it to 46 though. It's a really deep draft class. I'm envious of Tampa and KC having so many early picks. They could clean up big time.
