  1. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/2018-mlb-mock-draft-v-2-0/ Bummer that they don't have any 2nd pick intel like some of the other teams. Also no mention of India in the White Sox blurb.
  2. Still being no hit in Birmingham.
  3. Canning is legit. No hitter through 4, with 8Ks.
  4. Canning carving up BHAM.
  5. For those looking for something to watch with the Sox off, Georgia Tech faces Virginia on WatchESPN. Joey Bart is in the mix at the top of the draft as we know. Also, potential first/second rounder Jake McCarthy finally returns from being out since March 6th with a wrist injury. Snippet below. BA has him ranked 33rd.
  6. Indeed. I think it's more accurate that he can touch 95. He sits more in the 92-93 range from what I've seen.
  7. Only BHAM and Kanny on the slate. CHA and W-S are off. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?sid=milb&org=145&ymd=20180514 BHAM: Brennan KAN: Henzman Birmingham hitters facing a tough one in Griffin Canning tonight.
  8. Micker with 2 BBs today. So encouraging to see that this season.
  9. Gio 32 walks to 24 strikeouts this season. Eek
  10. Another 2B. Locked in.
  11. Lucas's velocity had been down with the Nats even before the White Sox acquired him. He was touching mid 90s at best with them.
  12. LuGon added a 2B. Wish there was a spot for him in W-S.
  13. McClure pulled before he can even get out of the 1st inning. 4 H 2 ER. Wonder why the short hook?
  14. Realistically who comes up if Gio keeps imploding? Covey?
  15. Luis Gonzalez also with HR number 5.
  16. Call with HR number 5. He seems to be hot lately.
  17. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?sid=milb&org=145&ymd=20180513 Kanny: McClure W-S: Flores BHAM: Adams Charlotte: Roach
  18. Same. I'm totally on the draft the bats philosophy with 1st rounders. Especially at the top. Since we've been ranking, my preference goes Madrigal, India, Bart, Bohm. I'd be all over Bohm if there was more consensus on him being able to stick at 3B. I could flip/flop Madrigal and India if we assume there is notable savings by underslotting India.
  19. Nope. There isn't a generational talent in the 2019 class. Fangraphs has a super early list of possible 2019 first rounders though. Witt and Barco are the two names that I've seen thrown around the most though. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/mlb-draft-rankings-2018-2019-and-2020/
  20. Kiley McDaniel @kileymcd Watching UCF/Oklahoma this weekend and my big takeaway is Kyler Murray is much better than I expected: 70 runner, big bat speed, hitting rockets all over the place. Likely doesn’t sign this year so may be the top college bat for 2019 (unless he’s Russell Wilson).
  21. Larnach has some serious pop. Just knocked Bubic out of the game with an oppo HR. His 15th.
