  1. Great article. Appreciated.
  2. Interesting. There goes his Intel that they won't take Madrigal due to Moncada/Anderson.
  3. Guys. I think I really want a Nick Madrigal. I hope my heart isn't broken on June 4th.
  4. Yea. I'm guessing it's under-slot rumors with Detroit? A few weeks back we heard that Kelenic might be an option there from a few different sources. The only other thing I can think of is Mize injury concerns? I believe we are getting a new mock from Keith Law tomorrow, might be reflected there?
  5. Sounds like it might not go that way based on Kiley's response. I wonder who might be mixing it up and why. I'm guessing Giants?
  6. Snapper Bean 1:04 Seems like its starting to solidify as 1. Mize 2. Bart 3. Bohm. Agree or disagree? Kiley McDaniel 1:04 SELL there's been some recent buzz that this top 3 projection may blow up, which we're trying to wrap our heads around
  7. Is it hyperbole that I think he has a chance to be the best pitcher in the current MLB rotation as it stands?
  8. Jimmy 12:31 How polished is Brady Singer compared to AJ Puk or Alex Faedo? Kiley McDaniel 12:31 He's kinda a finished product, just needs to throw his CH more. Puk was not a finished product in college and Faedo sorta was but wasn't as good as Singer.
  9. Butts 12:24 Hearing anything with the ChiSox on India? Is he still an under-slot candidate at 4? Or has his rise played himself into slot value if selected that high? Kiley McDaniel 12:25 Only team in the top 10 we've heard seriously considering him is 6/NYM
  10. Chicago White Sox 12:20 How would you compare scouting grades of Madrigal & India? Stats wise India has clearly been the superior player this year with the bat, but that obviously only tells a small part of the story. Kiley McDaniel 12:21 India, for me, is 50 hit, 50 game power (55 raw), 50-55 glove, 55 arm. Probably 3B only, but you could try him at 2B, emergency only at SS and 50 run 12:22 Madrigal is 60 hit, 40-45 game power, 60-70 run, 50 arm, 60 glove at 2B, chance to be average at SS if he gets more reps there but not a slam dunk. And the power could turn into 50 and the hit could turn into 70 depending on what sort of swing/approach he uses 12:23 You could still argue Madrigal is the best prospect in the draft and, for me, India isn't in the top 10.
  11. Kiley Chat soon! Get those questions in! https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/kiley-mcdaniel-chat-5-16-18/
  12. (Maybe) The Most Improved Hitter in Baseball Great FanGraphs article on what Matty has done thus far.
  13. Good post. I actually likened him to Nola a few pages back. Their numbers are actually shockingly similar in college. Especially the Junior year. I get it. I wouldn't hate it, I just wouldn't be all that excited.
  14. Unsure, but it sounds like his MRI information will be shared with Detroit and possibly the teams picking at the top as seen in the Fangraphs mock blurb. As of right now, it truly doesn't sound like a big concern based off all the information being put out by BA/MLB/FG. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/2018-mlb-mock-draft-v-2-0/
  15. I mean, it's just general medical concerns. There isn't any major buzz at the moment that something is wrong from what I know. See below for a part of the BA Mize Top 500 Scouting report.
  16. I've watched Singer for maybe 6 starts this year. He's fine, but just not that exciting? Solid across the board with a weird delivery and arm slot. He just doesn't blow me away. He doesn't have that wow factor like McClanahan's velocity, or Mize's dumb splitter. I understand the rationale for considering him, I just can't get too excited about it.
  17. Oops we have two threads. Combine?
  18. Luis Gonzalez with HR number 6 this morning. Battenfield cruising with 1 H and 5 SO through 3.
  19. Early start for Kanny. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?sid=milb&org=145&ymd=20180515 KAN: Battenfield W-S: Lambert BHAM: Guerrero CHA: Covey
  20. While I hope the White Sox take advantage of the copious amount of prep talent available with the 2nd round pick and on, I can't shake the feeling that Griffin Roberts is their guy at 46. This just screams White Sox to me. Oh, he's also conveniently ranked 46 on BA's top 500.
  21. Interesting that they have Hankins in the competitive balance round at 42. Also, another Alek Thomas link to Cleveland at 29. That one has been very consistent in mocks across different publications.
