  1. In my post after the one you quoted.
  2. While I'm fully on board with Madrigal and the draft the bats approach, Singer won't need much time. It was either Kiley or Eric that essentially described him as a finished product. Could probably drop him into the rotation in early 2019 after securing the extra year of control. Not how I would go about it, but I could see the Sox taking said approach if they popped Singer.
  3. Oops paywall. Here yall go. 1.) Mize 2.) Bart 3.) Bohm 4.)
  4. BA Mock 4.0 https://www.baseballamerica.com/rankings/mlb-mock-draft/
  5. New MLB Pipeline mock. This week it's Mayo. Have the Sox on Singer. https://www.mlb.com/news/high-school-pitchers-rise-in-mlb-mock-draft/c-277173920?tid=151437456
  6. I imagine so. Believe they changed in 2011ish?
  7. Yep. Kiley has a 50 on India's run and 60-70 on Madrigal.
  8. That would explain why it was bottom of the null for the last 20 minutes.
  9. Have people ever gone back and looked at Gordon Beckham's junior year numbers? It's just something else. Then you get sad about what might have been.
  10. Please dont taint our draft thread greg. This is my happy place.
  11. Carlos Collazo @CarlosACollazo 2m Man all of this Original draft Content that we've been Knocking out for tomorrow is Very exciting. 4.0 New BA mock tomorrow.

  14. Regarding FV, this article explains it pretty well. Was even linked in today's FanGraphs chat. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/scouting-explained-the-20-80-scouting-scale/
  15. Looking at this year's top 100 FG prospects, 55's are in the 25 to 50ish range I believe. If that helps anyone.
  16. Armchair GM 3:43 Please play Armchair GM: would you select Bart over Madrigal? Eric A Longenhagen 3:44 no
  17. Cy Acosta 41 3:39 Love what all of you at F'graphs do, Eric. So, you're the White Sox at 4 (with today's farm system). If the following are your options, what would you do and why: (1) Madrigal; (2) Singer (or Mize, if he somehow falls to #4); (3) Convince India or Kelenic to sign underslot and use the $ for a high school stud in Round 2)? Thanks, hombre! Eric A Longenhagen 3:39 Magic Man 3:40 He's the best guy, I'm lukewarm on Singer and things don't line up to go under slot at 4 and then over with your next pick because of all the landmines between 4 and 46
  18. Gilbert 3:31 Would you rather have Travis Swaggerty or Jared Kelenic? Classic example of top college OF vs top prep bat. What is the deciding factors? Eric A Longenhagen 3:31 Kelenic. I'm not confident Swaggerty hits.
  19. Soxtober 2020 3:30 Would you put a 60 FV on any draft prospects this year? Eric A Longenhagen 3:30 We have 55s on Madrigal and Mize
  20. The question then becomes who would pounce? And who are the Tigers considering instead? Lots of ramifications.
  21. Victor 2:38 What mid-first round prospect do you see becoming a steal in the draft. Who could be the faster riser to the MLB? Eric A Longenhagen 2:39 I love Anthony Seigler. Fastest riser? Probably one of the college arms, like Kowar.
  22. As we suspected. Tigers might not be slam dunk on Mize.
