  1. Rutherford and Keller are the most exciting pieces of the names mentioned IMO. I might like Keller as much as Glasnow.
  2. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Dec 22, 2016 -> 06:53 PM) Will Craig is an interesting prospect. Crazy batting eye with good hit and power tools although the power has yet to develop. Anyone from Future Sox know anything about Craig? I like him plenty as a secondary piece. Likely limited to first or DH though.
  3. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 22, 2016 -> 11:29 AM) Did he say that they have actually had contact or just his own speculation because they have the pieces it would take? Happ and Eloy would definitely be what the White Sox are looking for in a deal. I'd welcome the Cubs to the trade mix.
  4. Surprised no mention of Will Craig as part of a package. Though I suppose he is tough to assign value to at this point, being a 2016 1st rounder with little pro experience.
  5. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 21, 2016 -> 09:45 AM) If Keller has even fringe average power potential instead of no power he would easily be a top #15 prospect right now. His hit tool is legit plus. Newman you mean?
  6. QUOTE (flavum @ Dec 21, 2016 -> 09:27 AM) I agree, but honestly, I think the Pirates aren't moving Meadows under any circumstance. A package without a headliner such as Meadows would be rather underwhelming.
  7. QUOTE (flavum @ Dec 21, 2016 -> 09:24 AM) I kinda like that! No idea if it's fair for everyone, but it looks good. Would much rather have Meadows than Conforto.
  8. QUOTE (BRIRO2017 @ Dec 19, 2016 -> 03:06 PM) Q gets traded to a GOOD team, and he's their number 1? His numbers are going to be way worse. If you don't understand that concept you are clueless. What on earth.
  9. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 15, 2016 -> 10:49 AM) I am not feeling the McMahon love at all Striking out at a 30% rate in AA and only batting .242 is very concerning to me. Major league pitchers tend to eat high strikeout players alive. He is blocked by Arenado, but I'm not sure he is the answer in a trade. This is a make or break season for him. Same. No thanks on McMahon. The fangraphs portion on him was quite sobering. He has the kind of warts that the White Sox typically are unable to address.
  10. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 15, 2016 -> 09:14 AM) I really think the Sox would consider a Martes/Tucker/Reed/Perez offer if the Astros won't dish up Musgrove I'm fine with this return. Perez has major helium. One of my favorite Astros prospects and would be a great get.
  11. I could really use a Quintana/Rockies rumor right about now.
  12. Yup. And I will. Especially during a rebuild.
  13. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 14, 2016 -> 09:08 AM) Eh, he's fallen off the map I think we can get better prospects than Kolek for Robertson I would take Braxton Garrett.
  14. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Dec 12, 2016 -> 06:15 PM) http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2016/12/12/lev...nals-prospects/ Lol Robles? Nah man.
  15. QUOTE (Ro Da Don @ Dec 11, 2016 -> 12:40 PM) 0 chatter, pure speculation, I believe. I think there was a generic tweet at some point for Colorado looking for front line pitching, but nothing mentioning Quintana specifically.
  16. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 11:30 PM) *Interview Summary* Thank you for this.
  17. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 03:33 PM) That's almost totally in the hands of Luhnow, Coppolela, Mozeliak and Rizzo. There is still momentum from last week's discussions. The scouting and talks have been very thorough for many months and further deals are on the board to be had. Make no mistake, teams very clearly know Rick's asks, which contributed to last week's action and thus the recent windfall of elite prospects. Interesting. Figured the Cards interest was gone after not getting Eaton.
  18. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 02:59 PM) Saw someone on Twitter saying that Buster Olney said that he could see the Rockies offer Rodgers/Tapia/Pint for Q. I'm still surprised we haven't heard the Rockies linked to Q. I would take this deal in a heartbeat.
  19. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 12:39 PM) I just don't think you worry about any specific position yet. Just collect the most talent possible. If a top catcher comes available then great, if not, you worry about that later. Yup. And if you have a deep farm with alot of good things, you can trade those good things for other good things that you might need down the road when it's time.
  20. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 12:15 PM) Possibility Sox are targeting all these arms with the intention of moving them/Rodon for younger position players in the future? Sounds like they are just trying to get the best talent available for the most part.
  21. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 12:00 PM) Peter Gammons ‏@pgammo now6 seconds ago When Astros askewd on Jose Quintana, Chisox asked 3 names:Francis Martes, Kyle Tucker, Joe Musgrove Yup.
  22. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 8, 2016 -> 02:27 PM) I assume Robertson. Yup. He corrected it. Bob Nightengale ‏@BNightengale 5m5 minutes ago The #Nats tried to get the #WhiteSox to include closer David Robertson in the Adam Eaton trade, but Sox refused, will deal separately.
  23. Bob Nightengale ‏@BNightengale 1m1 minute ago The #Nationals tried to get #WhiteSox to expand the Adam Eaton trade to include closer Todd Frazier, but Sox refused, will deal separately

    Catcher

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 8, 2016 -> 12:45 PM) I'm kinda wondering if Severino has become an unhealthy obsession just because we are all familiar with him now. Is he that much better than the Astros catcher we just stuck in AAA? He's pretty meh to me, but you could do worse. Fantastic defensive catcher with not much bat.
  25. QUOTE (oneofthemikes @ Dec 8, 2016 -> 12:28 PM) Sean Sears on twitter: "Source: Asking price for Chris Archer and Jose Quintana is too high for #Astros, "seems unlikely" that either will end up in Houston" Who is this guy again?
