Jacob Larsen @jakelarsen @CSNHayes @BaseballAmerica @jimcallisMLB The return on Eaton leaves me speechless. Jim Callis ‏@jimcallisMLB 1m1 minute ago Jim Callis Retweeted Jacob Larsen Me too. Aaron Fitt ‏@aaronfitt 49s49 seconds ago @jimcallisMLB @jakelarsen I wasn’t speechless. My reaction involved some very loud, profane expressions of incredulity.

Just got out of work. Wow. SS2K5 sure s***ted up this thread huh? You absolutely take the best package of talent you can get when you are rebuilding. Worrying about not acquiring position prospects in the first freaking off-season of a multi-year rebuild is asinine. Anyhow, this is an amazing return. Huge overpay for Eaton. I might be more excited for Lopez than Giolito at this point. Speaking of Giolito, if there's anyone that straighten him out, it's the White Sox. Also was a big fan of Dunning in college. High floor on him. Could be a middle of the rotation arm in not too long. I think Hahn extracted more value in this trade than in the Sale deal.

No Robles would be a bummer. Of course I'm about to be in an hour and a half work meeting.

Sure. Why not. I feel like that's going to be my defacto response to most White Sox free agent signings the next few years.

QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 10:07 AM) Would anyone do Q for Clint Frazier & Torres? In a heartbeat. But it seems NY is attempting a different approach with holding onto prospects at this point.

TR Sullivan ‏@Sullivan_Ranger 3m3 minutes ago Derek Holland's suitors are still the Pirates and the White Sox

QUOTE (Knackattack @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 11:56 PM) Cards fans on mlbtr already saying cards would be dumb to move Kelly for Eaton... jesus Because most fans are idiots. Kelly isn't even that highly touted.

Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeyman 57s58 seconds ago Marlins not believed to be at 92M for chapman. They are intent on bigtime closer. But they won't go there.

Bob Nightengale ‏@BNightengale 2m2 minutes ago Aroldis Chapman may get his $100 million deal after all. One team says he has offer of $92 million.

Washington truly seems like a good match for Quintana. Robles+ would still be a great return. What other teams have the prospect power and the need? Atlanta/Houston back in play? Colorado?

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 09:12 PM) I think there might be an issue with Wade"s medicals. His trade to the Cubs has been held up. Don"t like injuries but that can help the White Sox in more ways than one. I thought the hangup was the Nationals making a late push?

QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 09:10 PM) Gross. Horrible pitcher framer too. I figure it really doesn't matter during this rebuild. I fully expect an uninspiring stopgap. Wellington Castillo would be a nice grab though. Hope he rebuilds some value, and flip him at the deadline.

Dan Hayes ‏@CSNHayes 11s11 seconds ago Nothing serious for the moment, but #WhiteSox have had lots of inquiries about Jose Quintana -- which should come as no surprise.

Garfien suggested Kurt Suzuki.

QUOTE (Real @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 08:52 PM) Saw that the Yankees have the highest ranked catching prospect in Gary Sanchez is he available? Nope.

QUOTE (beautox @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 08:53 PM) I think Jones + Frazier gets something like Bellinger, Alvarez & Lux Sign me up for anything that would bring back Bellinger.

QUOTE (Ro Da Don @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 08:49 PM) Where did he say this, on MLBN? On the radio. Waddle and Silvy I believe.

Very happy with this. I hope the rebuild continues in earnest. Q, Jones, Eaton, should all be dangled in addition to the impending free agents. Go Hahn go.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 6, 2016 -> 10:03 AM) I do agree with others that we need to let go of the Shelby Miller thing. Yup. Complete outlier that was a consensus moronic overpay by a terrible front office.

QUOTE (Ro Da Don @ Dec 5, 2016 -> 10:55 PM) 0 chance we could nab Brendan Rodgers? I would think he's off the table. Maybe Hoffman? Tapia?
