Have any intel on prep pitching the Sox like? I'd love to land Blake Bryant, Hirschkorn, or Waechter. Nawrocki is one of my favorites too. Though I don't know how likely any of those guys are around for pick 3. I'd imagine prep bat is still the favorite for pick 2?

Yup. They are legit propsects and should go in that range.

I think you are most likely to see punting to grab a position player with pick 41. I wouldn't be against them doing it for high school pitching in addition to a hitter though.

Oppor has walked the bases loaded in the 1st. He's thrown one strike so far. How long can they keep sending him out to die like this?

Big George with a BB, Double and a Triple. Feel like he's turned the corner lately.

They 100% will punt a few picks. I expect a high ceiling prep bat and hopefully a prep arm or two. The depth of the high school pitching is very good in this class.

It's totally the play, and I'm sure he gets it conceptually, but I feel like we get a punting rant every draft class. I think he just likes to play it straight maybe?

I'm with Ray on this one. Not sure Getz has the nuts to trade off what looks like a dominant high leverage arm for a haul though. Especially while in the midst of a competitive season (so far). If they still think starting is in the plan, hold.

That's good to know on Bergolla. They sure made it sound like his injury wasn't major, then bam gone for 5 weeks. He looked good in his brief start to the season and is an up arrow guy. Hope he's back in Charlotte soon.

Maybe time to start considering Lackey in the draft. With Teel's recent propensity for ouchies might be best to not have him play one of the most demanding positions on the diamond. Though I don't know what you do with him in that scenario.

No shot he can play CF. That 40 run isn't it. It's actually kind of surprising he can play a cromulent SS, but he makes it work to an extent.
