  1. f*** it. Make him learn to throw lefty.
  2. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Mar 20, 2011 -> 01:10 PM) What? I expect nothing but Pargo becoming Ben Gordon and John Lucas sinking all his free throws.
  3. QUOTE (G&T @ Mar 18, 2011 -> 10:09 PM) Korver does nothing for me. Rarely does he hit a shot when really needed. He can hit an insurance shot, but down ten, needing a three, Korver is throwing up bricks. Korver has hit daggers to seal games away a handful of times this year. I mean big threes. He may not lead a comeback, but he'll stop the other team from doing it.
  4. Out There: Carlos Quentin is traded for Jose Contreras at the trade deadline.
  5. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Mar 18, 2011 -> 12:29 PM) Right on. I'm really worried about Quentin. I can see the 2012 OF being Milledge-Rios-Viciedo at this rate.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 18, 2011 -> 10:31 AM) Not to call you out, but the Bulls were in New Jersey last night and play in Indiana tonight. Does Scalabrine not travel on road trips? Indiana is a stones throw from Chicago.
  7. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 08:29 PM) fixed Sarcasm of that magnitude needs no fixing.
  8. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 07:48 PM) The St. Patrick greens had me thinking- have the Bulls worn their black jerseys this year? I think they have, but I'm not sure. They wore them for like 10 road games straight.
  9. QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 16, 2011 -> 07:04 PM) http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont...r?urn=nba-wp184 Sterling is a real asshole. Wasn't Dave Geffen gonna buy the team a few years back?
  10. QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 16, 2011 -> 05:42 PM) Having it removed, huh? That was a News story from a couple years ago.
  11. QUOTE (lostfan @ Mar 14, 2011 -> 10:37 PM) Kevin Goldstein: Hey @cst_Cowley, @Oneyguillen: You two need to get a room. ^^LOL (I don't know how to link individual tweets) Beautiful.
  12. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Mar 15, 2011 -> 09:43 AM) You probably just destroyed the future in doing so. Good job. Or made it more awesome.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 01:27 PM) A week in the minors is hard to pull off since the Knights don't immediately start games, he'd be in minor league camp for a bit before the first game. I don't think Morel's mind is in the same boat as Anderson, he's actually overcome struggling and adapted to every level. I just don't think that right now, the difference between Morel not hitting and Teahen not fielding is that big. If Morel can hit a little, he'll be worth something, if Teahen could somehow field a little bit then he'd be worth something. If Teahen can field, I'm shipping him of to LAA with cash for whatever I can get
  14. QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 01:15 PM) http://www.uniwatchblog.com/ I started reading Uni Watch Blog recently. Paul Lukas has a regular column on ESPN, but don't let that turn you off. His blog is a mountain of fun sports history and uniform tidbits info. Recently, I took a part in their colorization challenge. I was given an old, yellowed black and white photo. I was instructed on what things were supposed to look like colored, and I set about coloring it with my Photoshop. Here's the original: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5019/550056...bdb648290_o.jpg Here's the colored version: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5173/552097...0cdb87118_o.png I'd say that it turned out pretty well. What do you think? Paul Lukas loves to hate on the Sox' black socks though. He rated it as a Uni in desperate need of a makeover cause of that. Anyway I like him otherwise. Good job on the colorization, but it looks almost painted.
  15. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 01:14 PM) His name is Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Teahen. Other players on the team are: Mark Buehrle Alexei Ramirez Chris Sale What about Adam Done?
  16. QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 12, 2011 -> 11:58 PM) That's my biggest gripe so far with it. There is like, twenty things wrong with that. Holding out for Rush and GNR now.
  17. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 12, 2011 -> 11:27 PM) Stupid is one thing, but a lot of this is flat out wrong or impossible. -Do commercials to bring in extra money for yourself? The 1% of the league that CAN do this, DOES do this. Brendon Ayanbadejo isn't going to sell many jerseys. -College degrees? I don't have the exact percentage, but quite a few of these athletes leave school early so they can get their payday right away. And having seen what athletes do just on a D-IAA school, where their odds at making it to the NFL or the UFL or AFL2 is microscopic, quite a few of them still don't do anything scholastically. I mean nothing insensitive by this next comment to anyone, but reading it seriously reminds me of what a white southern person would have said about blacks in about 1840. It's just absurd. The Bear Down at the end is what really seals in the "this rant is dumb as s***" taste.
  18. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 02:25 AM) That being said, I've always appreciated how the Sox do business. They reward loyalty. Reinsdorf is an unloyal owner. Just ask D-Wade.
  19. So, every time I hear MJ talk, its clear he wants to be here still. "Don't be shocked if you got 6 more on the way" Thats an owner of another team.
  20. QUOTE (whtsoxfan @ Mar 12, 2011 -> 03:39 PM) I believe Milledge is a non-rostered invitee. He's looked good so far, so has McPhearson, who's another non-rostered player. Most likely these two get released early so they can sign elsewhere. If Quentin gets off to a slow start, I look for Viciedo to get a starting shot at RF. Danks, Gartrell and Flowers are another year away IMO. Like it or not, Vizquel, Castro, Teahen and Lillibridge comprise the bench unless they carry only 6 relievers. Milledge and McPherson both signed minor league deals, so we can stash them in Charlotte if we want.
  21. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Mar 11, 2011 -> 12:10 AM) Actually might be a blessing in disguise. This way, he can't start the year in the Majors and will go down to AAA and play everyday like he should. This. I'm saddened, but not really worried. He'll be fine.
