QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 07:48 PM) The St. Patrick greens had me thinking- have the Bulls worn their black jerseys this year? I think they have, but I'm not sure. They wore them for like 10 road games straight.

3rd Base....NO....not Teahen!
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 01:27 PM) A week in the minors is hard to pull off since the Knights don't immediately start games, he'd be in minor league camp for a bit before the first game. I don't think Morel's mind is in the same boat as Anderson, he's actually overcome struggling and adapted to every level. I just don't think that right now, the difference between Morel not hitting and Teahen not fielding is that big. If Morel can hit a little, he'll be worth something, if Teahen could somehow field a little bit then he'd be worth something. If Teahen can field, I'm shipping him of to LAA with cash for whatever I can get

If any of you like caps or uniforms or even sports history
QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 01:15 PM) http://www.uniwatchblog.com/ I started reading Uni Watch Blog recently. Paul Lukas has a regular column on ESPN, but don't let that turn you off. His blog is a mountain of fun sports history and uniform tidbits info. Recently, I took a part in their colorization challenge. I was given an old, yellowed black and white photo. I was instructed on what things were supposed to look like colored, and I set about coloring it with my Photoshop. Here's the original: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5019/550056...bdb648290_o.jpg Here's the colored version: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5173/552097...0cdb87118_o.png I'd say that it turned out pretty well. What do you think? Paul Lukas loves to hate on the Sox' black socks though. He rated it as a Uni in desperate need of a makeover cause of that. Anyway I like him otherwise. Good job on the colorization, but it looks almost painted.

2011 NFL Lockout Thread
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 12, 2011 -> 11:27 PM) Stupid is one thing, but a lot of this is flat out wrong or impossible. -Do commercials to bring in extra money for yourself? The 1% of the league that CAN do this, DOES do this. Brendon Ayanbadejo isn't going to sell many jerseys. -College degrees? I don't have the exact percentage, but quite a few of these athletes leave school early so they can get their payday right away. And having seen what athletes do just on a D-IAA school, where their odds at making it to the NFL or the UFL or AFL2 is microscopic, quite a few of them still don't do anything scholastically. I mean nothing insensitive by this next comment to anyone, but reading it seriously reminds me of what a white southern person would have said about blacks in about 1840. It's just absurd. The Bear Down at the end is what really seals in the "this rant is dumb as s***" taste.

Make it Milledge
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 02:25 AM) That being said, I've always appreciated how the Sox do business. They reward loyalty. Reinsdorf is an unloyal owner. Just ask D-Wade.

So, every time I hear MJ talk, its clear he wants to be here still. "Don't be shocked if you got 6 more on the way" Thats an owner of another team.

Make it Milledge
QUOTE (whtsoxfan @ Mar 12, 2011 -> 03:39 PM) I believe Milledge is a non-rostered invitee. He's looked good so far, so has McPhearson, who's another non-rostered player. Most likely these two get released early so they can sign elsewhere. If Quentin gets off to a slow start, I look for Viciedo to get a starting shot at RF. Danks, Gartrell and Flowers are another year away IMO. Like it or not, Vizquel, Castro, Teahen and Lillibridge comprise the bench unless they carry only 6 relievers. Milledge and McPherson both signed minor league deals, so we can stash them in Charlotte if we want.

Viciedo fractures thumb during ST game on HBP
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Mar 11, 2011 -> 12:10 AM) Actually might be a blessing in disguise. This way, he can't start the year in the Majors and will go down to AAA and play everyday like he should. This. I'm saddened, but not really worried. He'll be fine.

Viciedo to the OF
Kenny needs to work non-stop on unloading Teahen to make room for Dayan. Viciedo is gonna be the starting RF next year.

Rock Band March Madness

Rock Band March Madness
QUOTE (knightni @ Mar 10, 2011 -> 02:46 AM) Get the hell out of here with that! I've never even heard of Coma; and I doubt that very many people have. The first three albums by Metallica are what every thrash metal band looks to achieve. I'd say that even Justice... and the Black album are good as well. Coma is GNR's longest song and on UYI I. It's also the song that got me through some hard times, so its's my favorite, so I'm biased. As for Metallica, I rank their albums like this: ...AJFA: Not a bad song, One is the weakest on the album, which says a lot. MOP: Also really good, Hammet got to showcase his writing ability here. RTL: Still really good. KEA: Really raw, but lots of good in here, especially Four Horsemen (Sorry Mustaine) Black Album: A few bits are ok. Death Magnetic: See Black Album. Everything else drags Metallica down.

Rock Band March Madness
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 9, 2011 -> 11:29 PM) No one has mentioned GNR a #3 while Metallica is a #4??? I mean Use Your Illusion did rock, but the Black Album & Metallica's longevity easily deserve a higher seed. Coma >>>>>>>>>> Metallica's entire catalog.

Rock Band March Madness
QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 11:55 PM) No Zappa. Bracket is invalid. Also Quinarvy, how could you ever, ever, ever, EVER even CONSIDER voting Outkast over the Clash? Stupid things like that always invalidate these stupid brackets. Simple, after Guns N' Roses, Rush, Billy Joel, Nine Inch Nails, Iron Maiden, and Radiohead, Outkast is one of my favorite artists. Agreed on Zappa.
