  1. Maybe Tony was worried about Jake Lamb being the next batter up? Who am I kidding, he thinks Lamb is a fucking god.
  2. Over reactionary take that I feel completely justified in saying because it's endemic of a larger problem: Whoever made the call to steal there (TLR or Leury) should be fired or cut from the team.
  3. The fact that La Russa was the Cards manager for so long makes this even more laughable.
  4. If Mendick can play OF, there is no reason to have Jake Lamb on the team.
  5. RealGM has a breakdown on future pick protections. Either there's oversight, or it looks like Orlando would be out of luck - so, let's hope it's the former.
  6. Quin replied to bmags's topic in FutureSox Board
The Charlotte outfielders are sensing opportunity.
  7. Kenny always gets his guy.
  8. @MannysCornedBeef is up for grabs.
  9. RF, but he has played 55 games in center in his career.
  10. Let me rephrase that: I'm loathing it in the specific instance, because they'd be more attractive to other teams that didn't get to see their development and growth.
  11. I loathe the lack of minor league season last year. I feel like we have guys who might have been / knocking on the door of the Top 100 list if there had been.
  12. The alternative is a 20-year-old that was seen as one of the rawest, albeit very toolsy, players in his draft that has hit .213 in one season of rookie ball. Beard is 80-grade fast (I think the meme when we drafted him was that if speed was graded on a quantitative scale and not qualitative, he'd be 80+ speed), but barring a massive jump I'd be shocked if we see him before 2023 at the earliest.
  13. I'm going to assume this is flat out trolling.
  14. Obligatory "This means that Luis is playing tomorrow" post.
  15. @ron883, you were right.
  16. That thread is for continuing the discussion that was going on for 5 straight pages. This is for updates on Robert's injury when we get them. We were at the point where we were talking about Lynn extensions, trading Crochet for Kris Bryant, Andrew Vaughn's playing time, trading Eloy for Ramiel Tapia, moving Moncada to RF and Jeremy Lamb to 3rd, etc. None of that is Luis Robert's injury. It is (besides Lynn) about OF depth.
  17. Spun off because Robert's injury was not the focus.
  18. Talk about fixing the OF depth via trade/whatever else here: This thread is for discussing Luis' injury.
  19. That's certainly not a certainty.
  20. brb making FutureSox board restricted access
  21. Yeah, I'd be leery of the Cubs asking price, but then again, they gave up Darvish for absolute pennys on the dollar.
