  1. Posting FutureSox's top prospects list. Dan Santaromita listed out the top catchers at the link below. https://www.futuresox.com/2021/02/02/top-white-sox-prospects-by-position-catchers-3/
  2. Personally, I have Anderson in the 3-5 range.
  3. "Hey Ethan, can I throw my curve again?" "Yeah man" How Dylan Cease Became An Ace I'm kidding about it being that simple, but man, give Cease his groove back
  4. My guy, did you just see what the Cardinals gave up for the future Hall of Famer with years of control? Why do you want to move two guys in the Top 40 (one in the Top 20) for a lesser package?
  5. "Surely this is from two years ago or so?" *checks date*
  6. You might have to fight @oldsox for that crown.
  7. Well, someone has very low confidence in Vaughn.
  8. For a completely unrelated player, nonetheless.
  9. Here's a profile of him for WSJ. His current plans are to maybe buy a house and his one dream of building an indoor track facility or track house in his hometown of Brockton, MA.

    Joc to Cubs

What in god's name did Joc think he was worth?
  11. As long as they're licensed, it's ok if they deceive people or give shitty advice?
  12. Financial newsletters / articles saying "stocks that are hot right now" "stocks poised to plummet" are WAY more egregious posting research and updates. And not even in the same realm as hedge fund managers going on CNBC/Fox Business/CNN Money and talking about companies while not disclosing their positions.
  13. I mean, he posted in September 2019 when WSB was significantly smaller and got practically laughed off the subreddit. He then stuck to his guns. That's not coordination, it's him putting out his research and others going "huh, yeah, OK." It's way better than Jim Cramer running around and slamming his buy/sell buttons.
  14. So, I want to know where this concern was when small pharmaceutical company Zomedica had over a billion in volume two weeks ago ... mainly fueled by a Carole Baskin cameo video and reddit. It seems like it could be a good product when it launches in March. Buuuuut did Wall Street give half a fuck about this one? No, because big firms weren't getting burned.
  15. I will say this, one of the things I always see on the investing subreddits is the notion of "only invest money that you're ok with losing." Yes, there are people who say they're YOLOing their lifesavings into a stock, but in the comments I often see the above concept. Along with advice like "make sure you keep XX for taxes." I invested $400 when the market was low onto Robinhood (since moved to WeBull). That's grown to $7k. I haven't invested any separate money into it because I was ok with losing that $400, but nothing else. Once the squeeze got out of the subreddit/discord/etc., well, that's where damage is gonna happen. There are going to be people holding the bag at the end of this, but the short sellers are also going to feel a lot of pain. That's who WSB was mainly targeting - everyone just decided to ride the wave. (Note: I'm not in on GME, because, well, I didn't think it'd take off).
  16. Looks at corporations that were bailed out and did stock buybacks. Looks at massive corporations that got small business loans. People with far more financial know how did a lot worse things with government money than what is likely a handful of students.
  17. I predict this thread will be very even-keeled.
  18. Well, WeBull reopened GME stock, so maybe?
  19. Well, this is going to get super interesting.
  20. I've been using WeBull for a while, switched from RobinHood. WAY more info, but less intuitive interface. Better trading hours. Lord have mercy, I'm kicking myself right now. I've had positions on two of the meme stocks in the past (AMC, AA) but sold for longer, catalyst based holds. I also knew WSB was going to do it's GME rip but figured I'd hold onto my portfolio. Didn't expect eat-the-rich week to actually take off.
  21. The problem there is the slogan is power to the player. Not power to the owner.
  22. I'm convinced that Jerian Grant made $7.7M NBA dollars off this dunk: Also, everyone is forgetting Marquis Teague. Who GarPax took despite the fact that Thibs was begging for Draymond and the fact that Draymond (and players like Sato and Middleton) fit GarPax's drafting MO (more advanced than one and dones) and were on the board.
