  1. Maybe Liam and Jake Lamb and they've both been hot garbage. Lamb is expendable and and Liam needs to get his ass in gear. They can have a players only meeting, because those are things. La Russa wanted to take this out of the clubhouse, so that's their right.
  2. I think it would take all the players + Hahn + Katz, Menechino, and McEwing.
  3. So many gems that got lost in the shuffle last night: "Maybe they weren't trying to hit my player." TLR never had any intention of defending his player.
  4. They knew the effect it would have on our clubhouse, because our manager would publicly side with them over our players.
  5. Somehow missed that Tony apologized to the Twins.
  6. Four. Tim, Yermin, Evan, Lynn.
  7. All these not Hall of Fame baseball people disrespecting the game.
  8. Just so everyone knows, this whole fiasco is dominating the baseball subreddit (with fans of every team pretty much siding with the Sox players). Not the fact that we've already had five no-hitters this season.
  9. Because this is a problem we have to track now: Tim Anderson and Yermin Mercedes pretty much tell TLR off on IG, saying the unwritten rules don't matter (commenting on NBC Sports Chicago's post) Lynn says that when a position player is on the mound, there are no rules. Evan Marshall's aggressively liking tweets calling out TLR's comments (since deleted). On top of: Caught drunk driving before the season Losing multiple games due to him just not being on top of things (Foster, Giolito, etc.) Not knowing a rule that the Reds' manager made clear was known to other teams The whole "playing time" schtick with Vaughn
  10. Lynn is supposed to be a TLR guy. He's officially lost the clubhouse.
  11. TLR made a mistake. There will be consequences within the family.
  12. With a manager who provides distractions for the team.
  13. Could be interpreted as "take it out of the park," which would be changing the game. The slogan represents making baseball fun. Which TLR doesn't want.
  14. Can he have it in writing?
  15. When Hall of Fame person, attorney Tony La Russa cares about the written laws concerning drunk driving, then maybe he can talk about unwritten rules that make baseball less fun.
  16. I think Sheets would be the first dude up for a corner OF position, Burger for corner IF.
  17. Man makes Luis Robert look small.
  18. At an old job, I once had a partial seizure. I never lost consciousness, but I suddenly lost all focus in my eyes, slurred my speech and got extremely cold followed by immediate sweating and feeling like I was burning up. Like, all in a minute. A few minutes later the haze lifted and I was tired, but in a decent working capacity. One editor got me some water and wanted me to go home, but the person above her had me stay because we were doing special coverage of a massive event. We don't value health in this country.
  19. With all the Oklahoma in this post, I'm amazed Caulfield didn't squeeze Tiger King in here somewhere.
  20. Yeah, but that's like a dad playing basketball with his 5-year-old son and blocking him. You expect it. Madrigal's homer was like the 5-year-old dunking on the dad. It made no sense.
  21. I don't know which home run was more disrespectful, Madrigal's or Yermin's.
