  1. Let the record show that you voted after 12:50 PM CT. @greg775 is our goddamn winner if Yermin is the backup.
  2. So if Vaughn is the Opening Day LF and Collins is the DH, does that mean Yermin is backup C, and a single voter at the time of this post (who will remain unnamed) will have won this poll?
  3. Clearly, Eloy is banking on the fact that there was a smudge on the screen.
  4. At this point I'll be shocked if Ball is anywhere other than Chicago next year. I think the Bulls can make a better pitch post-Vuc trade. @Chisoxfn should be happy. My guess is the Bulls hope that Ball keeps growing or Williams develops into the 3rd All-Star, or AKME is actually creative with future deals.
  5. AK's master plan is clear: Team doesn't quite gel in time, get Top 4 pick.
  6. I should probably clarify in my wording before it bites me in the ass: Obviously people can speculate and should, but ruling out Abreu in 2023, especially with our front office, shouldn't be a foregone conclusion.
  7. With a new CBA and the volatility of rosters, I'm not even going to try and speculate what the roster looks like two years from now. Our OF might be Colas-Robert-Cespedes with Eloy DHing and Vaughn at first, with Collins catching. Or one of (or both) of Colas/Cespedes bust, Eloy improves his defense (via some sort of magic), Abreu keeps mashing and stays at DH. Maybe Vaughn puts in crazy work and becomes a LF. Hell, they could expand the rosters in the new CBA. There's a lot of ways Abreu could be on the roster in 2023.
  8. I know it's likely going to be a Williams/Hamilton/Engel/Leury rotation, but I'm hoping for something that's more fun like Vaughn excels in LF and Collins mashes at DH, or one of Sheets, Adolfo, Rutherford finally breaks through, or the wildest scenario: Cespedesmania. Then Eloy comes back late in the season and goes hogwild. I want storybook drama, damnit.
  9. The Bulls were able to drop Kornet, Hutchinson, get the best player and get cash considerations? GarPax is in awe of AKME
  10. I can't remember, is NBA similar to MLB where trades break after the deadline?
  11. That or he has the wildest August/September of all time.
  12. If New Orleans doesn't move Lonzo, they're gonna be stuck negotiating a sign-and-trade this offseason, paying him an offer sheet, or letting him walk. This is their chance to get something they want.
  13. The thing is, the lineup needed to carry the lack of rotation depth. If we had signed Quintana, I'm less worried about Eloy being out for most of the season because he goofs around in the OF. Now we're relying on Engel, our 1B prospect, or Sheets to pick up the slack in LF.
  14. All because he wanted to gallivant around in the OF. God damn.
  15. He's an expiring contract that makes up the difference in Lauri and Lonzo's salary and the Pelicans will feel no obligation to play him.
