  1. Holy hell, learn other statistics and evaluation tools. Especially when scouting teenagers.
  2. The one time SoxTalk is glad to hear about Tatis.
  3. It should go without saying that things related to foreign policy are considered political talk, which is not allowed since we closed The Buster.
  4. Send Jose, Yoan, Yasmani, Luis, and Yolbert to speak to him all at once.
  5. Cubs fans think the same thing. Ya gotta move on.
  6. Oh suddenly he's not too raw for the majors for you?
  7. To be fair, Harold Reynolds compares every draft pick to a Hall of Famer. (Stone and Jeter also proclaimed that Gordon would be a future MVP)
  8. And in that timeframe, the Sox have a ring. The Mariners don't. The Mariners have made the playoffs 4 times (yes, once back-to-back) despite all the megastar talent you listed and Nintendo money.
  9. @Harold's Leg Lift voters fall in love with players like Madrigal, you know they do. And sometimes they do weird votes, like Andrew Bailey in 2009.
  10. Well, this being said, The Cell is consistently rated very highly in terms of food offered at the stadium.
  11. Comiskey Park >>> Both of the Mariners parks. And the narrative that the Cell is terrible has been worn out for years since renovations. Yes, they have Griffey and Ichiro, A-Rod made his legacy with the Yankees. But we can give them to him. But sure. If the Mariners get Johnson, we get Fisk. Frank is one of the single best hitters of all time. Nellie Fox and Luis Aparicio are in. Minoso, despite not being in, was one of the best players of the 50s. Luke Appling, Ed Walsh, and Eddie Collins are some of the best players of all time. Shoeless Joe would be in the hall if he could read. Remember, if the playoff system that has existed for the entirety of the Mariners' existence had been around for the Sox, we're counting things differently. You might be shocked to learn the Sox have the 11th best win percentage in league history. The Mariners, for all the star power you listed, are 25th. The Padres are dead last. Unlike those two teams, the White Sox have won the World Series.
  12. I think the fun thing not included in this is that the Sox will hypothetical have contenders for ROY in Robert and Madrigal (if he were to win a GG and have single, have single digits strikeouts, and a .300+ average I could see voters falling in love with him) and a Cy Young contender in Giolito if he takes a step.
  13. https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-2020-season-predictions Also in there: Ricky wins Manager of the Year, Sox win the division, and Eloy breaks out.
  14. I mean yeah, that's bad. But sometimes, people act like the Sox have a history akin to the Mariners.
  15. Well, in the 50s and 60s you went straight to the World Series. The Sox had 17 straight winning seasons and we're consistently blocked by the Yankees.
