Montas struck out six in six innings, two walks and only two runs. At Montas is dealing this year. Casey Schroeder starting his career off nicely.
  2. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jun 28, 2015 -> 06:11 PM) Yes I think intentionally losing for 5 years when you have arguably the second biggest fanbase is cheating. Busch all around. Taking a dump on all the hard work the small market teams do and adding flies to the pile by handing Lester a cool 150. Way to go cubs. It's not cheating, but the Cubs are the only ones who could pull this off. The Sox have to basically go for it every year or the fanbase disappears. It just sucks that everything is going wrong this year.
  3. CONTAGIOUS HITTING
  4. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 28, 2015 -> 02:03 PM) Why is Emilio still on the roster Decent-ish beard?
  5. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 28, 2015 -> 01:55 PM) Yeah, they showed her crying after not getting the ball and Hawk said if she comes up to the booth I will give her a ball so someone went down and told her so she came up. Hawk gave her a ball and tickets to a game in September when the team comes back Ok. As someone that got drilled by a line drive when I was 8 only to have someone take it from me, that is really, really cool and extremely sweet of Hawk.
  6. Two good defensive plays by Avi.
  7. QUOTE (Condor13 @ Jun 28, 2015 -> 01:50 PM) Hawk and the booth did something fantastic for that girl who missed catching Melky's HR ball. They made her day I'm sure. Ok, so THAT'S why she was in there. I just saw a Tigers fan who looked uncomfortable next to Hawk and was really, really confused.

I'm really interested in how Heidenreich does this year in his second stint with the org. He's pitching well this year, though he's old for his level.
  9. I don't know why, but this article makes me feel like Danks is headed to the pen soon. http://m.whitesox.mlb.com/news/article/133...s-danks-skipped
  10. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 28, 2015 -> 01:45 PM) There can't be any way Alexei survives this season. He somehow hustled enough there.
  11. This is the most awkward the booth has been all year.
  12. Might go Tuesday.
  13. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jun 27, 2015 -> 04:24 PM) Next up players who got better leaving the Sox. Is the answer still Gio? Rowand?
  14. But really; Eaton was good last year, Peavy was good for stretches.
  15. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 27, 2015 -> 12:03 AM) Scotty Pods? Sadly, this was my first thought.
  16. Brilliant move Robin. Should have brought in Putnam.
  17. Jose Quintana is the most cursed pitcher of all time.
  18. FLOWER POWER
  19. The offense is beginning to show life. I don't want to get my hopes up but I am. We'd be leading if Sanchez didn't have the luckiest catch ever.
  20. Might be the luckiest catch I've ever seen.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 26, 2015 -> 02:59 PM) That is exactly what it looks like to me. Something is bothering him on the field. The last time we saw this was with his father in law. Started a thread not long ago, but if I had to guess, Minnie's death is really hitting him hard.
  22. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 11:35 PM) Like I said, I haven't watched the Bulls at all, but both with Royce White and George's Niang at Iowa State he's enjoyed using the 4 to bring the ball up (less when he's had an actual PG, which he will have with Rose, but still did it a bit) to instigate the offense, but he loves bigs that go in and out because of what it does for his guards. I have a feeling Hoiberg will love Niko and Portis. Also, just keep feeling like Taj will be gone. The most vocal Thibs backer, black hole on offense, not a great passer. It'll be sad to see his fantastic D disappear but I think Portis can be groomed into Taj 2.0. He's just way more movable than Jo and if Jo is healthy (big if), you'd rather keep him in Hoiberg's system than Taj.
  23. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 11:12 PM) Portis isn't the guy for it, but like I've said before, Hoiberg loves stretch 4s. Working from zero previous knowledge of the Bulls, if he can establish a big as an outside scoring threat, even to a small extent (He's open, he will shoot a three and can make it) he wants to draw the big out of the paint for guys like Rose and Butler to penetrate. Moreso a guy like Rose so that he can pass to another mismatch off of penetration Translation: Niko is gonna have fun with Hoiberg.
  24. Woj saying Bulls are taking Portis. Talk about interesting. Have to guess it means that one of Taj or Jo is gone.
  25. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 08:34 PM) Dekker still on the board. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bulls take him at 22. Was kind of hoping for this. Bummer.
