2014 Minor League catch all thread
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 06:24 PM) CJ Wittmann @CJWittJr 1h I love Tim Anderson's end game profile. Don't love his reactions off the bat at SS but hands are always in sync. Electric. #whitesox This is sort of encouraging?

Thoughts on Carlos Rodon
QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 04:28 PM) Future grades of 80, 80, 70 and 65 for his pitches with 65 command? That's the best pitcher of all-time. I'll take it.

Trade Winds Forum?
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 04:30 PM) If the price were Micah Johnson, Erik Johnson, and Chris Beck, I'd drive down from ND to take them to the airport, I'd wait there, and I'd take David Price to USCF for his introductory news conference. f*** it. Go into next year with 5 lefties if we can. Sale, Price, Rodon, Q, Danks. Lefty domination.

White v Giants Game 2
De Aza's OBP is somewhat impressive considering his awful batting average.

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jun 18, 2014 -> 12:20 PM) My conservative friends are already proclaiming this an extreme overreach of Obama's powers. First he gets us into a situation with Iraq and now this?!

2014 White Sox draft pick thread
QUOTE (oldsox @ Jun 17, 2014 -> 04:22 PM) Shouldn't Rodon's name be in red, along with Davidson at # 39? Red means absolutely not signing, so I hope not.

Grady Sixemore
They can have Dylan Axelrod, if I feel generous.

Red Sox sign Grady Sizemore
QUOTE (Lillian @ Jun 17, 2014 -> 04:58 PM) At least he demonstrated that he could stay healthy. He was bound to be "rusty", and it would likely take more than 150 at bats for him to get his timing back. I know that most of you thought that I was crazy, but I still think that he's not too old to make a comeback. I hope that he gets a chance with another club, as he really busted his tail to get back. He was a genuine five tool talent, before he lost all that time to injuries. 3...2...1... QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 12, 2014 -> 12:13 PM) SoxTalk is a cruel, unforgiving world.

NBA Thread 2013-2014
I think Butler would benefit massively from the Bulls getting Melo. He takes the harder defensive assignment while Melo always draws the tougher defender. LeBron would hate having to be defended by Butler then turn around and defend Melo. That being said I wouldn't blink if it came down to Jimmy being a deal breaker for Love or Melo. He'd be gone.

Jose Abreu general discussion
QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 07:55 PM) Let's say that, in some hypothetical world, the Sox managed to land Tanaka last offseason in addition to Abreu - where would we be right now? Agreeing with the people that say first. Sale - Tanaka - Quintana at the front of the rotation, a serviceable Noesi and Danks. Bullpen is likely taxed less. The ultimate "coulda been" rotation: Sale - Tanaka - Rodon - Quintana - Montas/Danish/Adams/Beck/EJ

Trade Winds Forum?
QUOTE (beautox @ Jun 16, 2014 -> 07:51 PM) I would love to buy low on both of them, Grandal's problems from what i've watched (alot on mlb.tv) appears to be him selling out his eye for power as witnessed by his career high ISO of .188 and his career high in k% @ 27% and career low in bb% @ 10.4%, His O contact swing % has taken a huge hit as well from his normal 70ish% down to 57%. As for turner would love to see him on the southside i think his two seamer and GB% would play very nicely here. I'm with this. I think they could both be fantastic buy-low candidates.
