  1. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Apr 14, 2014 -> 11:19 PM) I think it was Quinarvy who got me hooked on a prep catcher for our 2nd RD pick. I am forgetting his name at this moment, but I think he was either a lefty power guy, or a switch hitting power catcher who was good defensively. I'll look him up and edit this post. EDIT: Found him. Not a lefty, or a switch-hitter, so I'm not sure why I thought that, but his name is Jakson Reetz. http://m.mlb.com/video/v31230535/draft-rep...tcheroutfielder So Reetz or Conor Gillaspie's brother, Casey, would be nice picks to get in the 2nd RD. Yup, Reetz. Athletic and should remain at catcher. Your browser does not support iframes.
  2. Bullpen help on the way. Edit: hopefully
  3. Is it just me or does Hoffman seem even riskier than Aiken and Kolek?
  4. I stand by the thing that you try as hard as you can to get Rodon, though obviously within reason. If he hits his ceiling, Rodon, Sale, and Q at the front of a rotation is terrifying.
  5. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 14, 2014 -> 12:28 PM) Wait, we do? Is option A Hoffman? Yeah, since when did this get set in stone? I mean, Hahn has said Rodon is the best college arm.
  6. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 13, 2014 -> 04:21 PM) Game back on. Kluber is still pitching.. And Conor still hitting.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 12, 2014 -> 10:13 PM) Am listening to the Pods-Tigers game. The announcer Dick Enberg is 79 years old and sharp as hell. Crazy how the human body/brain works. Some people can be devastated by Alzheimer's, etc., and others like Dick Enberg ... 79 years old and sharp as a tack. Just listen to the Pods some night. He is amazing. He was describing a controversial out call at second base and immediately proclaimed, 'this won't take long to overturn' his eyes correctly assessing the play. How the hell can he be this sharp at 79? It's probably sports. Sports keep those involved in sports very young. That's one theory, but then you have Hawk.
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 12, 2014 -> 09:19 PM) Anybody know anything about possible Noah incentives (1st team all nba, dpoy, etc) that could put the Bulls over the tax? lol. Funny as hell if true. I still find this a stupid part of the NBA. Incentives shouldn't be counted as that.
  9. Stupid f***ing fan. Eaton is awesome.
  10. Gosh Abreu sucks we should cut him.
  11. So, I have no score or any graphics on MLB.tv...this is fun.
  12. Mizzou has shown a history of not covering their athlete's asses when it comes to stuff like this. Dixon, Washington. They won't wait for the courts, if something like this happens, you're gone. Marijuana is one thing, breaking into a girls apartment is another.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 12, 2014 -> 12:06 AM) It'd be fun to go to a game with that kind of weather and that kind of crowd, just spread out and watch some good hitting. Sounds like the Sox are like they were as a franchise before the WS title. An afterthought. All the momentum from the title is officially gone. Ticket sales probably won't improve until we at the minimum win a division again. I still say baseball is an awfully expensive outing, but I know most of you disagree with me on that. The radio guys were complaining about the Royals' attendance here and they never once mentioned the cost of going to a game if you have a family of 3-4. Royals are in the same boat. Until they actually win something, nobody's going to go out of their way to attend and pay that kind of jack. The Sox are actually making some games super cheap now. I remember Brooks saying you could get parking and a family of four in seats for $30 during some specials.
  14. Boy we sure can put up runs. It's the giving them up part that is hard.
  15. Gosh that homerun so awful. UGH.
  16. Quin replied to Ozzie Ball's topic in FutureSox Board
Anyone know why Danish only went 3 innings? Encouraging stuff from Hawkins.
  17. Smart running by Conor there.
  18. Just got home. Abreu is a monster.
