  1. Woah. Emery snatching someone from Seattle.
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 25, 2014 -> 08:42 PM) Dayumm. A Tsunami takes place and I'm not part of it. Anyway, only OCFs think more college=better NBA. GTFO. College basketball is pathetic and the coaches try to make it all about them. #COLLEGEBASKETBALLSUCKS!!! I don't disagree. College basketball is good for watching prospects/watching your college or alma mater.
  3. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Mar 25, 2014 -> 04:57 PM) They're still only on pace for 39 wins and used their last two first rounders on Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Cody Zeller. Not exactly setting the world on fire. That said, Cleveland, Detroit and Milwaukee would be better examples. MKG was looked at as a consensus #2. Zeller, yeah, didn't like that one but it was also a s*** draft. I'm more intrigued with what the Bobcats do in this draft.
  4. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 25, 2014 -> 04:40 PM) Yep, there are no quality of play issues in the Western Conference. They only exist in the East where you have a number of teams that have gutted their rosters on purpose to tank or have zero idea how to run a franchise (I'm looking at you Michael Jordan). Add in key injuries to two of the 4 East teams with legit talent (Chicago and Brooklyn) and you have a disaster of a conference. Charlotte is actually turning it around due to the hirings MJ made. As a GM he was bad. Owner? He ain't that bad. Try again.
  5. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Mar 25, 2014 -> 03:35 PM) I don't think there is any way you pass on Rodon, no matter what pick you have. After Rodon you could go a bunch of different ways. There may not be a position player picked in the top 5. Kolek, Beede, Rodon, Hoffman, Aiken. Sox will get to choose from three of those. I like.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 24, 2014 -> 10:39 AM) Second Son is awesome. I need to get this.

So, Russia kicked out of G8.
  8. I like everything I've read these past 2 pages.
  9. According to Hawk, Keon Barnum is Keeyn Walker
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 23, 2014 -> 04:16 PM) No. However, you don't understand how baseball works. You see, there are different levels in baseball. There is such a thing known as "minor leagues" where a combination of young players and guys who aren't good enough to play in the big leagues play baseball games during the year. A typical baseball organization will have 6-7 different levels including 1 big league team and 5-6 "minor league teams". These minor league teams are given different names based on their skill levels. The lowest level teams are Rookie ball and "A" ball. At higher levels are AA and AAA ball. Guys who perform well at one level will often move up to a more difficult level. Thus, if you see a guy like Andy Wilkins who puts up a .380+ OBP at AA ball and .312 at AAA during the same season...those numbers should be broken apart because the 2nd number was performed against higher level talent. You should attempt to familiarize yourself with how minor league systems are structured before commenting. Very few people who are at AA ball and perform worse during their first visit to AAA ball will immediately start playing better in the big leagues than they did at AAA ball. Major league baseball talent is much, much better than AAA level talent and MUCH MUCH better than AA level talent. Therefore you should not project that a guy who put up a .312 OBP at AAA will put up a .350 OBP at a big league level until he takes a step forward at AAA.
  11. QUOTE (staxx @ Mar 23, 2014 -> 01:50 PM) In which case the sox management all go crazy with joy since we get Rodon. Either way, we are in a great position. If we get Rodon you make sure you sign him. Having him and Sale at the front of the rotation complimented by Q, Johnson, Danish, Beck, etc. would be awesome.
  12. The quotes made it seem like Quintana had a crippling porn addiction that kept causing clubhouse chaos.
  13. QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 22, 2014 -> 08:33 PM) Bulls expect Rose to be back for the playoffs Not this s*** again. I don't even want him back. He's not going to be good and look what's happened to Westbrook this year after a similar injury. NY Daily News. Ignore it.
  14. Why are Hawk and Stone fawning over the Twins right now?
  15. Give me Rodon gladly.
  16. Quin replied to Y2Jimmy0's topic in Pale Hose Talk
    Hell yes I do that.
  17. Starlin Castro, Felix Pie, Josh Vitters, Geovany Soto...it goes on forever.
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 20, 2014 -> 11:12 AM) I seriously doubt that now that Jackson is there. He said it after Jackson arrived. The whole time, they've been saying their words carefully. Jackson told an NY radio station that Melo is important to a *rebuild* but not paramount. Melo hasn't committed with Phil. In the past Phil has said point blank that the Knicks need to trade Melo.
  19. Stephen A. Smith said Melo's circle is pushing him to Chicago, Melo has Chicago as his top non NYK option. Doesn't want to waste a single more season, feels they'd be instant title contenders. Considering SAS called the Heatles, I'm trusting him.
  20. After watching Aiken... Gimme Rodon, Beede, Aiken, or Kolek. Not sold on Hoffman at this point. I trust the Sox with pitchers, so here's hoping.
  21. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Mar 17, 2014 -> 04:46 PM) If there is anyway this is real, this makes me feel really sad for Dunn.
  22. QUOTE (Jake @ Mar 19, 2014 -> 12:25 AM) Jesus, the Rockets getting Melo would be insane. Just the sheer amount of jostling they've done to get Harden and Howard is astounding. It involves them either S&T Lin and Asik to NY for Melo or they have to trade them for pure cap space, but both of them have a $15M hit.
  23. Via Adrian Wojnarowski/Yahoo! Sports Carmelo Anthony has the Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets as the two options above all others he would consider if he decides to leave the New York Knicks. The Bulls have an easier path to sign Anthony to a contract, but the Rockets believe they can also shed enough contracts to offer Anthony a third near-max deal alongside Dwight Howard and James Harden. "He'll give New York every option," one source with knowledge of Anthony's plans told Yahoo Sports on Tuesday. "But he has options – and he's going to explore them all." After SAS saying Melo is gone from NYK, I'd say Bulls have a good shot.
  24. Stephen A. Smith said Melo is out, Woj said Bulls more in play than Lakers. MAKE IT HAPPEN GARPAX.
