  1. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 12:24 PM) f*** now I have to play this game too Fun fact: Bethesda claims that the scale of the game is equal to twice the size of Great Britain:[3] around 487,000 square kilometers/ 188,000 sq miles. The game world features over 15,000 towns, cities, villages, and dungeons for the player's character to explore. According to Todd Howard, game director and executive producer for Bethesda, the game's sequel, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, is 0.01% the size of Daggerfall, but most of Daggerfall's terrain was randomly generated. Vvardenfell, the explorable part of Morrowind in the third game has 10 square miles (25.9 square kilometers).[4][5] The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has approximately 16 square miles (41.4 square kilometers) to explore.[6] In Daggerfall, there are 750,000+ non-player characters (NPCs) for the player to interact with, compared to the count of around 1,000 NPCs found in Morrowind and Oblivion. However, the geography and the characters in these later games are much more detailed. It takes a couple weeks to walk from one end of the map to the other.
  2. Ok, SS2k5, LeBron is nowhere near the shooter Jordan was. But meanwhile... Through 9 Years in the Leauge Shooting: Jordan: .589 TS% vs. LeBron: .569 TS%. Edge Jordan. Shot Blocker: Jordan: 1.0 BLKPG vs. LeBron: 0.8 BLKPG. Edge Jordan. Defender: Jordan: 6 NBA All-Defensive 1st Team & DPOY, DRtg 103, DWS 41.0 vs. LeBron 4 NBA All-Defensive Team, DRtg 102, DWS 43.1. Edge Jordan (DRtg is too close for a team based stat to give LeBron the edge). Rebounder: Jordan: 9.5 TRB% vs. LeBron: 10.5 TRB%. Edge LeBron Faster: Jordan: 4.3 40-yd dash vs. LeBron: 4.6 40-yd dash. Edge Jordan Stronger: Don't have anything to clarify this, but I'll give to the man 50 pounds heavier. Edge LeBron. Playermaker/Passer: No way to quantify it, but Jordan averaged 8 APG when he played point. He played more off the ball though. I'll give you passer/point man, but sure as hell won't give you playmaker over Jordan. Tie 1-1. As for leader? We'll go with 3-0 in the Finals for this one. Better leader gets better results. So far: Jordan 5, LeBron 3. Faster and strong don't really even matter in comparing the two. There have been fast players who never did anything and monstrously strong players who did nothing. Now it's 4-2. LeBron as a forward should be a better rebounder and shot blocker than Jordan, he's in more position to do so, but he only prevails in one. Guards have a lot harder time winning DPOY than forwards, and Jordan had to beat out Mark Eaton and Hakeem Olajuwon, who are better defenders then the players LeBron has had to beat out. Now, a few other things... Steals: Jordan: 2.7 SPG vs. LeBron: 1.7 SPG - Jordan Win Shares: Jordan: 147.6 vs LeBron: 133.3 - Jordan Net Rtg (ORtg - DRtg): Jordan 121 - 103 = + 18 vs. LeBron 115 - 102 = +13. - Jordan Scoring: Jordan 32.3 PPG vs. LeBron 24.9 PPG - Jordan WS/48: Jordan .274 vs. LeBron .233 - Jordan PER: Jordan 29.8 vs LeBron 27.2 - Jordan Playoff PER: Jordan 29.6 vs. LeBron 27.1 - Jordan So final tally: Jordan 12, LeBron 3
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 12:29 PM) Before last year, I'd agree - but LeBron rose up and crossed any obstacles he had mentally last year when he flat out raped the planet. Mentally, he has nothing left to prove that he's beyond that issue. I mean, using the logic of one great playoffs makes a lot people better than MJ.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 12:12 PM) The big difference is that LeBron's size would make him a much better defender of MJ. The extra couple of inches and long arms would be huge. Shoulda woulda coulda. And it's hard to be a "much better" defender than a guy who is the GOAT defensively for his position.
  5. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 08:25 AM) Yeah, you make one ending "canon" and go from there. Any piece of literature or film that has ambiguous or branching endings or a wide range of people writing for the same characters (e.g. Star Wars, comic books) makes these choices. Except the Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, which made all six endings canon.
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 24, 2013 -> 11:49 AM) Seaking of MJ - I love me some MJ. LeBron may not get to 6 rings (who knows, who cares), but right now he's flat out a better baller than MJ ever was. Hell, I'm even leaning that way with Kevin Durant - he's a freak of nature. These guys are bigger, stronger, and better than MJ. MJ would still get his against them if we're talking prime, but if I were starting a franchise today, I'd take prime LBJ or Durant over prime MJ. There, I said it. Flame on. Jordan's third season alone puts both of them to shame.

  8. I just made banana bread and it's delicious.
  9. Seriously Noah's in talks for DPOY, any of Noah, Booz, and Deng can be All-Stars, thank god Jimmy was a first round pick or he'd get Asik'd this summer. And Rose is cleared for full contact.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 23, 2013 -> 06:43 PM) Have you never seen a Nintendo game? They have been putting the console name next to the game forever. Not on the GameCube, which is honestly the one I remember most But I feel like there's more of it with the WiiU so far.
  11. Of all the stupid ideas in the world, this is brilliant. Show them the 'Buster
  12. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 23, 2013 -> 09:59 AM) No kidding, I have NEVER read an IGN article that praised Nintendo as much as the one released today. MarioKart WiiU, Yoshis Island, Super Smash Bros WiiU, Mario Galaxy WiiU, Zelda, and a WiiU Zelda Windwaker is a pretty awesome bunch of announcements though Why is every game titled WiiU or U. Dear lord.
  13. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jan 22, 2013 -> 01:02 AM) This is potentially glorious news. It would be fantastic if Missouri would be forced to get rid of Haith. Last year was an aberration and a perfect storm that had more to do with a special group of players than it did the coach. Who replaces him? He's been really popular around campus also. Does the standard Buffalo Wild Wings weekly interview, always comes and talks with students during ticket lines, emails students frequently. I hear he's a really nice interview.
  14. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jan 20, 2013 -> 10:29 PM) I don't know why, but Wise reminds me of Fukudome last year. I think they caught lightning in a bottle at the end of last year. Wise is a grinder, but at 35... I just don't see him contributing much for this season. I don't understand why they wouldn't just go with Danks. I completely forgot we had Fukudome until just now.
  15. QUOTE (Jake @ Jan 20, 2013 -> 10:38 PM) I'd say that there are probably more parents that over-coddle, under-critique, whatever you want to call it than ever before. But it's not as if being critical of everything your kid does is necessarily the best way to do it, either. Most people respond best when they are given a mixture of criticism and praise. Let them know what they're doing wrong and let them know what they're not. It's pretty simple, it's about moderation. BTW, I came from the "everyone gets trophies" generation, and everyone knew that didn't mean s***. We'd keep the trophies because shiny things are cool, but we wanted to win. When I was 6 or 7 years old and we played in a basketball league that didn't keep score. While there are some benefits in trying to keep things from getting over-competitive (is this for the parents or the kids, by the way?) I know that all we'd do after the game is argue about who would have won if the score was kept and compare our self-kept statistics, etc. You can't make people noncompetitive even if you try -- though I'd say making them feel like losers too much rather than winners too much is more likely to have a negative effect. All this. I'm from everyone gets a trophy and I'm a hyper competitive motherf***er when playing sports.
  16. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Jan 20, 2013 -> 10:22 PM) good luck and i mean that with all sincerity. you may be in a situation where there is a lot more supply of that skill set than demand. There is, which is why I've been looking at double majoring.
  17. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jan 20, 2013 -> 09:38 PM) what are you studying? Journalism.
  18. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jan 20, 2013 -> 09:14 PM) are you in school right now? Yes, but apparently I'm supposed to have a magical skillset to get a job.
  19. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jan 20, 2013 -> 07:32 PM) I bet I could find a job if I lost mine. And I wouldn't need you to make such excuses for me, because I have a useful skillset. What is this useful skillset? As an unemployed 20 year old looking for a job, I'd like to know. I also want to to know what this useless skillset I apparently chose to have is? Please. Tell me.
