  1. Tajuan Walker and Alex Wood are a top my list. Jimmy Nelson also grabs my attention, though I'm not fully aware of what exactly was wrong with him injury wise.
  2. They've been crying poor since last offseason. Rumors on twitter is that they are telling FA they need to clear payroll before adding anyone. Kind of crazy just how far they are going to say they can't afford anything. Supposedly they went over 100% on the projected budget for Wrigley renovations? Almost seems ridiculous.
  3. I believe JR has made players in the past have a "tidy" appearance. I might be wrong, but didn't Kopech have to cut his hair? Same with Crede and Pierzynski? Abreu's beard was considered a little too much?
  4. Which he will immediately need to cut thanks the JR.
  5. Agreed. I feel likes it’s getting more and more likely the Sox will not end up with any big name out of FA for SP.
  6. Would be amazing to see Anderson pimp a HR against him.
  7. Maybe Ozuna is pulling an Abreu with negotiations? Sox have no choice.
  8. Agreed. Hector doubling down after last night makes me think it is going to happen.
  9. I didn't say it wasn't. Go back and read my post, it was a total screw-up. I'm not sure what their line of thinking was. They didn't even bother to replace Thome's production. At least when they originally got Thome he was replacing Everett and what was thought of at the time a broken-down Thomas.
  10. And that's why I prefer Castellanos over him, bad defense be damned.
  11. Technically the Sox did not dump Thome. They traded him to the Dodgers to give him a shot at getting a ring. The Twins signed him in the offseason. Obviously the Sox never had any intention of bringing him back, and they totally screwed up on that end.
  12. Dave's also gone on record saying he won't scoop things out of fear of screwing it up for the Sox. If anything big is going on, I would be surprised if it came from him.
  13. I would much rather give up Lopez, Collins, and Basabe. I think the Sox will regret trading Stievers. He seems like one of those prospects that burst onto the scene. I wouldn't mind seeing what Madrigal + Lopez could fetch.
  14. Yeah, probably, but at least they both have experience there over the course of their careers.
  15. I don't think Boston would do that trade. Even with the notion out there they need to shed payroll, Herrera and Burger (especially Burger) have little to no value.
  16. I'd be very happy with either of those two. Tsutsugo makes no sense. He's got 12 games in RF for his career, and Baseball-Reference doesn't show any fielding statistics since 2017. Unless that's an error, he's strictly a DH.
  17. Disagree. Every option available for RF is flawed in some way. Adding Ozuna's bat to the lineup is a massive plus. Sure his defense is absolutely suspect out there (and he's not my top choice to put in RF) but if it prevents me from watching the Palka's, Cordell's, and Tilson's of the world - I can be happy with it.
  18. Could be a "handshake" deal. We all remember Torii Hunter...
  19. Would love to know if someone could get Gomez to confirm if he asked Ozuna about the Sox.
  20. Trading Vaughn for Price and Betts would be idiotic. Betts is not getting acquired. He's a rental player and he's going to test FA.
  21. He's probably has heard that the Sox are more open to trading what we are labeling as coveted players than we all think. Other than Robert, I would not be completely surprised if they have Vaughn or Madrigal available for pitching. Gonna be an interesting next few days.
  22. Agreed, was only posting it to keep the convo going. "14 mins" is laughable.
