  1. QUOTE (chiguy79 @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 12:28 PM) If they will trade us a top prospect for Ozzie pull the trigger, name Cora manager and move on...we need better baseball players!! Naming Cora would be so typical of an Reinsdorf-run organization
  2. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 19, 2011 -> 03:43 PM) No way in hell should that ever happen. I'd rather have Ozzie here instead of Cito sleeping during the damn game. If Ozzie slept through the games, he might be a better manager. When he's awake, he's one of the worst in-game strategist ever.

  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 09:39 PM) Wtf? When the yankees were struggling? Like in 2008? Were you sleep for the first 6 weeks of the season?
  5. Anyone else sick of listening to Hawk rave about Starling? I bet there's cork in his bat.
  6. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 09:28 PM) Pittance? Joking. If he trades Viciedo...I'm seriously going to boycott White Sox games until Hahn or a new G.M. is named. What is with this Hahn B.S.... They don't another neophyte at the helm. They need an experienced outsider to come in here with free reign to re-make this organization. The only thing better is for Reinsdorf to find a billionaire sox fan to sell the team to.
  7. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 09:24 PM) He will trade Viciedo, because its our biggest splash of talent and gets the most bang for our buck. He will go for a name, a name that will draw fans. A vet. Not young players. He will trade Jackson, and get a small pidence. He will look to move Danks in the offseason. He is not a FA yet. When the Yankees were struggling we could have got Granderson...too late now
  8. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 09:24 PM) Eh, Ohman may have retired every player he faced, but he looked far from good during his relief appearance. He's basically that pitcher you put in thinking if he holds the opponent, good, if he doesn't, so be it -- we'll lose having saved the bullpen. He's what they call an "innings eater"
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 09:22 PM) If we grab a young guy for Danks and convince Cooper not to leave, this team can still be back next year. Coop's going to Florida with Guillen
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 09:01 PM) Farmer laying into Sox fans for their reactions to Dunn's ineptitude. Yay, he's trying! "I was already booing myself." Some consolation for $14 million. Wow....some action. Ozzie kicked Soto's mask 30 feet. At least there's some excitement finally. For some reason, when one of the teams are REALLY down in this series, they have a way of really making life miserable for the better team. It's like the playoffs for the Cubs. For the White Sox, like another game against the Twins or Tigers. Wonder how many games this season we'll get 36,000+ after this series? zero (0)
  11. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 20, 2011 -> 08:51 PM) I wish him and the entire staff would go with him it will not be soon enogh for me. Yes, he can leave this evening...
  12. If I owned the Sox I would give Steve Stone "Pat Riley" powers. This guy knows his stuff.
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 10:51 PM) I'm one of 'em, but I still think he should be fired. Underachieving team. Can him. Ozzie's greatest managing was during the 2005 world series...he stayed out of the game's way instead of injecting strategy to let u know he wasn't asleep on the bench
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 10:48 PM) It's amazing that there are people that still, to this day, think that Ozzie is a good in game manager. He was pulled too soon from his last start as well....
  15. QUOTE (kapzk @ Jun 17, 2011 -> 10:27 PM) I think our offense got screwed with that off day and the postponed game our offense has been screwed since the second game of the season
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 02:24 PM) But where? That means you're going to have to eat AJ's contract, give up on Beckham....can we give up on Morel if he's not walking or showing enough power? Doing anything with Quentin/Konerko/Alexei Ramirez would be COUNTERPRODUCTIVE, so that always leaves Juan Pierre's position. Or would you just waive Rios? That would be fine, if ANYBODY could predict with some degree of certainty he's (Lillibridge) an everyday ballplayer over the course of a six month season. Personally, I'd much rather cheer for Viciedo and Lilly...but KW has consistently shown he doesn't care what fans think, nor does Ozzie. KW and Guillen don't give a crap what we think because THEIR boss doesn't care what we think.
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 02:21 PM) 7-28 in their last 35 games against the Twins. Say whatever you will about me. This organization needs a clean sweep of the organizational trash from top to bottom. I say that you're right...but I'm bashed as a hater...my loyalty does not have to be blind to make me any less passionate about the team I love. I love the Sox...but not always those entrusted with their success
  18. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 02:19 PM) Remember when the thought of trading Beckham for Halladay was risky? And I was one of those saying no ...no...foolish me
  19. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 08:29 PM) How 'bout we get him another run, or 5 or 6. Taking Danks out will result in another loss. I mentioned the same thing last night if Jackson was taken out. If Guillen stays out of the way, the Sox would win more games. He did that in the world series, and that's why the sox swept houston. For someone who manages by his gut, whatever that means, he has no feel for the game - certainly not in the area of pitching. Like most head coaches and managers in this town, they're awful in-game strategists. And evidently, Cooper must be placating him or he is just as guilty as Guillen
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 11, 2011 -> 07:57 PM) Considering 12-ish teams have been worse this year, you probably should watch more Indians games. Well evidently sir, the Indians must be doing other things well to compensate for it. Last time I looked the Indians were in first place....they're doing something right. What's the Sox excuse? Brooks Boyer and his staff working the chat lines again, I see.
  21. I don't ever recall a team being this bad in bases-loaded, less than 2 out conditions. The ineptness is amazing.
  22. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 10, 2011 -> 10:43 PM) Nothing negative is ever refreshing. Negative attitudes and energy are a disease, a virus. It's isn't negative, it's the truth. And the better you cope with the truth, the better you can put this into perspective and move on. And simply stated, this is not a very baseball team made worse by its present manager.
  23. I see Ozzie just interjected strategy into the game instead of staying the hell out of it. If he was a student of the game, which he's not, he would understand jackson is just one of those pitchers that throws a lot of pitches. There was nothing wrong with him. He was fine. Now Oakland's back in the game. I just loathe him.
