I feel for Soroka. The kid looked like he was gonna be a really good pitcher, but his Achilles just derailed his career. Has to be frustrating as hell.

I can’t remember if I’ve shared this observation before or not, but Soroka looks like an extra from Bob’s Burgers. It’s all I see.

I’d let him do his thing in AA a while longer. He was rushed to the level last year and did a good job keeping his head above water, but this year he looks much more comfortable and aggressive in the box. Let him work with that approach for a little while and refine his defense. He just turned 21 a couple weeks ago. Lots of time.

I have just a regular mlb.tv subscription, but I’m able to watch the MiLB games with it. Give it a shot tonight.

I’ve been getting the MiLB games (on my phone/tablet at least) with my regular MLB.tv sub as an fyi to whomever.

One fairly big difference worth noting is Hostetler isn’t the scouting director anymore. His drafts were disastrous. Mike Shirley has done pretty well so far.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if it’s right or wrong. They’re embarrassing themselves regardless. And I believe the highest they can pick is 11th, not 10th.

Quero’s looked a lot more aggressive this year. He’s up there trying to do damage. His walks are down, but it hasn’t looked to me like he’s chasing - just aggressive in the zone, which is ideal.
