  1. If I was Rick Hahn and I was making a move on a starting pitcher... I'd be looking west towards San Diego. The Padres have a guy in their system that is gonna be lights out. His name is Heywood Jablome. Padres match up well with the Sox as trade partners too.
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 4, 2014 -> 06:48 PM) MLB The Show is only for PS. redundant and duplicate posts, or as some might say, replies, are a SoxTalk exclusive.
  3. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ May 4, 2014 -> 06:57 PM) Although their major league guys who under achieved last year seem to be playing pretty well so far. AND all of their "bad" prospects are better than the Sox "good prospects. gotta tip your cap to em.
  4. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 4, 2014 -> 02:45 PM) "Xbox One, on" "Play Mlb the show 2014" "Trades off" Get your s*** straight. MLB The Show is a platform exclusive for Playstation ONLY.
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 3, 2014 -> 02:24 PM) Brian Dozier now with 8 homers. Would have thought it was possibly from Plouffe, but Dozier's really looking like an Uggla in the making. Uggla is a good comp. Dozier is equally brutal in the field.
  6. QUOTE (glangon @ May 3, 2014 -> 03:29 PM) I believe that it's Leury Garcia in case of injury...... I don't think Jordan Danks counts as a full player against the 25-man roster cap.
  7. QUOTE (Marty34 @ May 2, 2014 -> 03:52 PM) That's right Paulino was a free-agent. Funny aside, I don't see how a bad contract hurts a team more than having an awful farm system. Let's use Common Core to solve Marty's riddle. Of the last 17 World Series winning teams, 12 of them had farm systems rated in the bottom 10. Of the last 15 World Series winning teams, 9 of them had at least one veteran contract that wasn't on the post season roster. Over the past 10 seasons, the 50 teams in that time span to be placed in the top-5 in farm systems based on Baseball America rankings - have combined for a 2430-5670 record. The White Sox were in seventh place in the Baseball America farm system rankings when Sally took her brother to the Walgreens to buy Gummy Bears. If Rick Hahn promises Sox fans to improve the farm system seven-fold in five years, how many Gummy Bears can Sally and her brother eat before the White Sox have a top-5 farm system while winning the world series and not having any bad veteran contracts?
  8. Adam Dunn shoud pay the White Sox to let him play for the team next year. What are the Sox gonna do when PK and Dunn are gone next year when someone hits a homerun? High five?? They just shake hands like "gentlemen" standing on the 18th green after a nice round of golf...
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 2, 2014 -> 03:20 PM) Let's Go Tribe ‏@LetsGoTribe 22m The Indians have placed Jason Kipnis on the 15-day DL, and he could be out for a month. http://sbn.to/1rY8i8A He's afraid of Chris Sale's slider. Too bad he forgot Chris Sale is on the disemboweled list.
  10. Man. Next Year is Gonna Be Awesome When We Dont Have All This Rother Dead Waight On The Teem. Dunn Gone GIDPK Gone PAULEEN-O Gawn Neeto wont need to be on the 25 mens rosters. 291 DAYS 10 HOURS 26 MINUTES 35 SECONDS until pitchers and catchers report!
  11. Crap. I was totally wrong. He did pitch for the Cubs. #factcheck
  12. Never pitched for the Cubs, so does that count? We had two ex-Cubs on the 2005 team....
  13. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 03:49 PM) I don't want Keppinger back- I was just wondering what he's doing. We tweeted last week he is rehabbing in extended ST.
  14. here we go with the walks from the bullpen.... *rollingeyes*
  15. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 03:44 PM) Was flat out awesome today, not lucky at all. Obviously he has a track record of not being so good so I wouldn't expect much but today, he was terrific. His minor league numbers were pretty good except for 2011 when his arm fell off.
  16. did Carroll get a standing O? I hope he did, earned it for sure...
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 02:36 PM) White Sox now 15 runs up on the Angels for most AL runs scored heading into tonight's game against the Yankees. (Hector Santiago 0-4 with a mid 4's ERA, btw). Oakland's 4th, showing how good of a combination of pitching/hitting they have going right now. Twins are 4th, still lacking pitching, what new? Santiago pitched yesterday, didnt he?
  18. Gotta let Carroll finish his gem now that he has a big lead, right?
  19. QUOTE (JoshPR @ Apr 27, 2014 -> 02:22 PM) Damn what is Semien hitting from the 7th inning on Don't tell me what he hits... tell me when he hits 'em
