  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 29, 2012 -> 03:38 PM) He might already have passed through and we'd have no way of knowing. Bedard. Nobody has picked him up. We should. He had 118 strike outs in 125 innings. Reliever, starter, both..
  2. QUOTE (Cali @ Sep 3, 2012 -> 10:27 PM) I have no doubt this will be the single strangest end to a season in a long damn time... Both these times are schizophrenic beyond belief, you never know which team will show up for any given game/series On pace for about 87-88 wins. 12 or 14 games over .500 .. Hope that is good enough. Still in first.
  3. I don't think Humber on this team next year. Great first half in '11 and the perfect game in '12. But the rest has been pretty bad.
  4. Dang we had 10 doubles. Too bad they had 100 singles. Well Wise had a great night. two doubles and a scoreless inning pitched.
  5. Plenty of time to catch up and win this one. Win this one ugly.
  6. Nice 3 spot by the MOSS. I spot a Diamond in the rough.
  7. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 06:16 PM) Just as long as they don't let the Royals ruin that. I still think Kenny should have gotten Chen and ship him to Charlotte and never be heard of again. Nice top of 1st. Score some runs MOSS!
  8. QUOTE (Wanne @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 05:42 PM) How is that misleading...really? Of course it's not NCAA... Was really shocked to hear of his passing...by all accounts a good guy! I read this in one of the articles and it made it sound like they were the best team (including 4 year colleges) in the nation. Best community college basketball team in the nation.
  9. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 05:10 PM) I paused for a moment when I found out he played for KCC. Now you're telling me KCC actually was ranked something? I'll be damned. I took summer classes there this year when I was home and all I could think was "Ugh, KCC" How in the world was a community college team ranked #1 in the nation? A two year system. Actuall I think is misleading. I think that it is the NJCAA not the NCAA. I remember DePaul was a top NCAA team in the 80s With Ray Meyer. Maybe even were #1 at some point.
  10. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 04:54 PM) He also played center on KCC basketball team that was ranked #1 in the 80's. RIP Didn't know that. Thanks. And yes that is sadly Gary Carter. But here is MCD at the 2010 ASG
  11. Narrated 2005 World Series DVD Friend of KW Big White Sox Fan, South Side native Oscar nominated actor RIP and hopefully your favorite team finishes off this division for you.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 12:11 PM) The Soxtalk version of Blazing Saddles would be worth it. You gotta win it to be in it Says my brother from another mother
  13. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 12:00 PM) This reminds me of my Dunn vs. Lillibomb post last year, for most home runs. Most thought I was nuts.. but Lillibomb hit more! HA! I think the Vulture will do it. And he will probably pick up a few wins in games that peavy starts.
  14. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 4, 2012 -> 03:39 AM) White Sox 70.5% Tigers 46.8% Jumped back up just with that one game...White Sox with easiest schedule remaining, 4 games at home I don't know if that has been mentioned but if we finish the season tied with the Tiggs and the Wildcard teams have more wins then us (which they do right now) then we have a one game tiebreaker in Detroit. They have already won the head to head series since they are up 10-4 with 4 games left. Better hold onto this division lead and grow it!
  15. Peavy or Jones. so far Jake has 9 and Nate has 7.
  16. We look like a first place team to me. Hector surely screwed them. We control our own destiny.
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 3, 2012 -> 05:39 PM) That would be embarrassing. I think 88-90 is still more probable. Well if we play around .500 (+1 or -1 game) the rest of the season then we are at 86-87. If it only took 82-83 this year I would be thrilled. Only won 88 and extra game in 2008. 90 wins would be nice
  18. Tiggs never took over sole possession of first. Just tied up. But they blew their game today and we are in first by ourselves. Hopefully we tired the Tiggs out and they will lose at least 2/3 of their remaining games. Then 85-87 Wins would be enough to snag this division.
  19. We survived the first. Keep battling lair. WE CAN SCORE! WE CAN SCORE! WE CAN SCORE!
  20. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 1, 2012 -> 06:01 PM) Just as long as he doesn't strike out like Dunn. Putting the ball in play creates chances for the Tigers to beat themselves. Nice to see Crockett batting behind Tubbs.
  21. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 29, 2012 -> 07:08 AM) ***Awaits greg775's post proclaiming that the "Tigers will never win the division if Verlander can't beat the scrub Royals"*** Cleve's are free falling . They could finish last. Our last regular series is in Cleve just like 2005.
  22. Orioles are playing pretty good right now. We shouldn't feel so bad about not hitting in that series. Yankees are also having trouble scoring runs and beating Os and they are playing at home
  23. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 1, 2012 -> 08:02 AM) http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...0,2410544.story Itsallgood 1. Miami vice guy has a history of clutch hits and has been hitting well in Charlotte. 2. Odawg. Is he good? I dont know. Seems like we win more when he is around. So do something good ODA 3. DA DA...I miss you. Look forward to your return. You seem to ignite our lineup of bombs, missiles, youks, Kongs, and tanks.
  24. New month, fresh mojo. I am chanting for this team. WE CAN WIN! WE CAN WIN! WE CAN WIN! Pitch well Lair Keanu!
  25. I was joking about the knuckleball. C'mon it is roger Clemens. He brings the heat.
