  1. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 09:13 PM) Hey, whatever happened to De Aza? Seems like you don't pop in here anymore bragging about him. He got old. I stand by everything I said about his time with the Sox.
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 10, 2016 -> 10:07 PM) Hector Santiago not exactly helping his former team tonight...bombed by the Indians, ERA ballooning well into the 5's. Luckily nobody got hurt there. Meanwhile Junior Guerra lowered his ERA to 3.31. We're fine for starter depth though so it was definitely smart to put him on waivers.
  3. Reminder that Kenny Williams said in spring training that Avi Garcia had 30-30 potential... June 10th and he's at 5-1.
  4. That's Anderson in a nutshell. Swings at a 2-0 pitch out of the zone but gets a single anyway.
  5. Tuned in late, was it Bulls*** Pitch To Contact Sale or Actually Try To Get Strikeouts Sale in the first?
  6. Alternatively, his BABIP stabilised and it was questionable to send him down in the first place
  7. You guys I think Zach Putnam might be a better pitcher than Matt Albers
  8. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 26, 2016 -> 08:41 AM) The Sox didn't want to lose him. They tried to sneak him off the 40 man roster. Don't think there was even much need to. If I recall correctly it was at about 37 men at the time.
  9. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 4, 2016 -> 01:24 PM) If he was the White Sox 5th starter, they would be looking for a 5th starter. He couldn't make the Brewers. Interesting, because he's now 3-0 through 5 starts with a 3.30 ERA, 3.14 FIP, 3.76 SIERA, 9 K/9, 3.6 BB/9.
  10. Avi 2 for his last 17 (2 singles), with 0 walks and 6 strikeouts, quietly hitting below league average once again (97 wRC+)
  11. Plus it's a bit of a myth that strikeouts reduce inning count, more baserunners do, which is what you'll get eventually if you keep allowing more balls in play
  12. I know the other version of Sale has been getting results but I prefer this one

  14. QUOTE (soxfan85 @ May 15, 2016 -> 02:40 PM) Walk him please... He already threw him ball 4...
  15. Not that Robertson's been disappointing by any means but the Yankees decision to go for Miller over him for less money seems great now
  16. Matt Albers is decent but he's not as good as people think. There's a reason he was available for 1 year $2.25m. Peripherals fairly meh this year. I prefer Putnam.
  17. Seems like the most obvious strikeout of the year for Avila. Prove me wrong, buddy.
  18. This is delightfully unexpected. Wouldn't put it past Betances to strike out the side now but hopefully we can get a dribbler.
  19. Must be the only one who noticed Duke has been largely excellent this year
  20. Zach Putnam has pitched 1 inning in the last 5 days, with the Sox leading by 4 runs in the 12th. Where has he been in the various high-leverage situations we've had?
  21. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ May 11, 2016 -> 02:22 PM) Robin just *had* to pitch to Desmond there, huh? The mistake was having a dead Latos throwing a horrendous start to begin the inning, not pitching to Desmond of the 105 wRC+ as opposed to Mazara of the 122 wRC+
  22. The bullpen can't be as taxed as Latos is right now. Insane to bring him out again. Where's Putnam?
  23. Latos: 5.0 IP, 0K, 5BB, 4 runs Hamels: 5.2 IP, 9K, 0BB, 5 runs Gotta love baseball.
  24. Moments like this, you have to love Hawk
