  1. Santana Moss just got 2 TD receptions to put Washington in front in the 4thQ. Oh boy.
  2. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 02:06 PM) Bill Mueller. Yeah he makes the most sense, but I think someone like Minny might sneak in and get him this off-season.
  3. QUOTE(bogie @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 02:04 PM) Yeah your right- we can't do without a .235 hitting third basemen. I can name 15 other third basemens i would rather have. And are any of those 15 available this off-season?
  4. Ok way to go JD, let's get him across now.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:02 PM) This is no time for a manager to try and getting his struggling starter to prove something. Oh yes it is. Jason's got the calls going tonight.
  6. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 11:58 AM) So have Widger bat left-handed. He honestly can't be any worse than Everett. Hell get Borchard up there, Everett is just awful right now.
  7. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) I did. /Glad to be wrong. Thank You Casey Blake Millwood wasn't great in the 1st 4 innings, we just needed some luck and we got it. I'd thought we'd get to him eventually.
  8. f*** YES, WHO SAID WE ARE DONE, WE ARE NOT!!!!!!111111
  9. Freddy needs to find his release point again, seems to be his main issue right now.
  10. Yep looks like it'll be made official today;
  11. Getting a win tonight would just be huge though, it would send a message to the Tribe that we ain't just gonna fall to the wayside and let them take this division, especially against their best pitcher in Kevin Millwood (who BTW is going to get a very nice deal this off-season).
  12. QUOTE(Randar68 @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 01:33 AM) If Anderson replaces anyone, it'll be Rowand. Yep, Anderson showed in the games he's played so far, defense in CF won't be much of an issue for him, or even if he plays in a corner.
  13. Have to pay over $400 today / tomorrow in car insurance and roadside assist cover. That'll do the old bank balance some good.
  14. We usually let the dog out at midnight as well to do his business. Well one night, whoever it was that let him out (it wasn't me) lost him, and for the next hour we proceeded to drive around the neighborhood trying to find him with no luck at all. So we head back at home, I go outside for one last quick look, and out he comes, covered in dirt from under the house where he waws chasing a possum.
  15. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 02:28 PM) They're not alone, they're tied with the Lions 1-1 with the Bears holding the tie breaker in head-to-head matchups 1-0. The NFC North is officially up for grabs with the Packers sucking immensely and the Vikes looking even worse. The Bears' destruction of the Lions today probably puts them as the favorites to win this s*** division even if it is only 2 weeks in. That division could be the worst in football this year. Minny - People are talking about how much they are missing Randy Moss. But what about Scott Linehan? He ran that offense very well, and they just don't look the same. Should be a head coach in the next 2 years if he can get Miami's offense going. Detroit - Well they just flat out SUCKED yesterday. Up the middle on D they got some good parts, on the edges though they need improvement as Hammer had alluded too. And Harrington with 5 picks, well when Kevin Jones only has 22 yards rushing, I guess things are going too well. Green Bay - Defense, defense, defense. If Trent Dilfer can throw well against you in a home game, you know you're in trouble, whether or not you have Brett Favre and Ahman Green.
  16. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 20, 2005 -> 12:41 AM) I dont agree. I think his knowledge of the Bears is seriously lacking. Just look at the QB thread and see if he knows much about the bears. Because I'm not in love with Orton and am willing to give Grossman another chance?
  17. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 02:00 PM) This is why I said you shouldn't talk about the Bears, stick to the Cowboys and just forget the Bears exist. You're absolute bias toward the boys and against the Bears makes it impossible for you to make a logical prediction involving the Bears. Could you have predicted the Bears would score over 30 points before yesterday's game? The Bears did exactly what they had to do to win games, theire defense has to create turnovers, and they have to get the running game going. When they get that going, and at home, they'll be tough to beat.
  18. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 11:53 PM) I wouldn't be making a deal for the future. It would have been for this year. It's easy to say you wouldn't do the deal now that McCarthy has actually done well in his recent starts and Burnett has faded. KW held off and that might turn out to be a good move, but we'll never know what Burnett would do had he been traded here. I'll always take a proven talent over a mystery. First time I've seen that for a topic regarding the trade deadline , but anyways the way Burnett is pitching now, no he wouldn't be in our playoff rotation, and the Cell is definitely more of a hitters park than Pro Player Stadium. And with Contreras pitching the way he is, and JG and FG, I doubt he would of made it anyways. Quite simply, the need wasn't as great as others that we have.
  19. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 11:37 PM) I'd still take Burnett over McCarthy. I think the experience he has would be more helpful at this point. Burnett walks to Detroit on a 4 year $48M deal at the end of the off-season. Still do that deal?
  20. QUOTE(SnB @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 11:33 PM) Does anyone miss esteban loaiza? We're the definite losers in that trade, right peter gammons? JOSE, way to step it up big guy Meh, he'd probably be better than El Duque, but he ain't too good away from RFK.
  21. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 19, 2005 -> 11:27 PM) Most people actually wanted to trade for Burnett to replace Duque. At one point, there was a rumor that it would only take Marte and a pretty good prospect to land Burnett. That prospect being Brandon McCarthy. We know how that's turned out.
  22. I'm trying to find a name for a song, it's used mainly in sports broadcasts especially the Formula One Races (although I know pretty much no-one watches that), and it's just basically a guitar playing by itself with no vocals at all.
