White Sox @ Tribe - 4/13/05 Official Game Thread
DBAHO replied to DBAHO's topic in 2005 Season in Review
QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 10:08 AM) Bulls or Sox? Puh-lease. -
Prediction: This thread has over 100 replies by the time I get up.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 12:24 AM) They do include special parking with a special entrance. It actually is a sweet deal if you can afford it. You park right next to the stadium entrance, and go underneath the park directly to your seats. 14,000 a year is seriously insane though. The closest we'd have to that down here, where you get parking, access to restaraunts, bars, clubs in a convertible stadium, only costs about $350 a month, and membership is fully transferable, so if you can't go, you just give it to someone else and they can go for you instead, for any game or event that is on there.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 12:21 AM) To be honest.. we were looking at doing absolutely nothing but laying on the beach for 10 days. We want (need) a vacation to do nothing. Every trip we take is filled with activities. We just want to relax on this one.. That's my parents major attraction for buying a holiday house near the beach at the moment, doing nothing but lying on the beach. Unfortunately with the housing boom over the past 5 years, prices have gone up from $150,000 to almost double that. Have fun on your honeymoon wherever you go and decide to do Steff.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 12:17 AM) People like that are the reason all my cats are indoor cats. My cat's pretty much stuck indoors most of time, except for when he's in the backyard. He can't jump over a fence because he's got a slipped disc in his back near his hip, but we don't let him out the front, because all the other cats will gang up on him.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 12:13 AM) The plane ride is the only thing holding us back from commiting to it. The same with Italy. I bet we end up doing the cruise. 12 days... Now just have to decide which ocean to cruise on... Yeah that's the major thing b/w here and there unfortunately. I bet you were probably looking at the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef if you decided to come down here though.

The scout seats sounds like a really nice package to get, but I bet it'd be so expensive.
-
QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 11:56 PM) That's the bazillion $$ question... we're trying to decide between a cruise, Australia, or Italy... Due to work we can't go until June so we have to make our decision within the next week so I can finalize those plans. Australia. C'mon Steff you know you want to.

That is really, really, really insane. No that's just f***ing stupid.

AL Central "Favorites" 1-4 against "non-favorites"
DBAHO replied to Wedge's topic in The Diamond Club
That's one going to come back and haunt Dimitri quite a lot this year. And please Sox fans, let him know that, whenever you see him at the Cell for me. -
Williams explores NBA possibilities
DBAHO replied to rangercal's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I heard Williams get compared to William Avery from a poster at another site a couple of weeks ago. That made me laugh I have to say. -
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) Question. When McCarthy gets the call up to Chi-Town, is Bull next in line to Charlotte, or is someone like Sean Tracey ahead of him? I'd assume Bull. This is Tracey's 1st stint at B-Ham, so he'll probably be there for a while yet.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:52 PM) It gives talk radio something to talk about. And ESPN.

QUOTE(TLAK @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:31 PM) Select the left most cell in the first row below the headings. From the tool bar select Window > Freeze Panes. Ta da. If you choose, you can select a column to the right, it will freeze both columns and rows. Undo is Window > Unfreeze Panes I knew it was something like that. Almost 2 years ago, I did an IT course on Excel on a lot of that stuff with macros etc.

QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 09:24 PM) Ray Liotta? he is a little old to be playing baseball isnt he? I mean he was good in Field of Dreams and all, but still... Ahh Capn12 we need your presence more around here.
-
We got Giovani Gonzalez and Ray Liotta, 2 real promising lefties for Tom Gordon.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 04:08 PM) He shouldn't be surprised. He is a Los Angeles Dodger, and he is wearing a Boston Red Sox jersey. I gotta feeling Lowe will not be happy in Dodger blue, quite honestly. I gotta feeling Lowe would prefer to be back in Boston. He got his big fat paycheck, which is what he wanted. He's pitching in a stadium where he should have good numbers, he should be happy, but I suppose option number 1 for him was coming back to Boston, but that was never going to happen with the contract he or Bora$$ I should put it, demanded.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 08:33 PM) You realize, of couse, that if Contreras sucks today, you are in deep s***! I'm an Aussie, it comes with the territory around here. -
Thought I'd start my first game thread of the season. Let's hope the Sox can get onto Lee early again, Jose can continue on the way he pitched in his 1st start, and the Sox can get the job done. A win here, and the chances of a season sweep are quite good, I'll put my money on El Duque over Scott Elarton in the next game any day of the week.

Ahh an old Sox hat that my Dad got me for me when he was in Chicago, but I never wear it. It's the only Sox present I've gotten, but I'm hoping to get a jersey this year.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 04:00 PM) There's gotta be somebody around here with better knowledge of Excel than me. -- The only time I've ever really had to use it was '97 for a EE class that was mostly on, get this, FORTRAN. So anyway, I've got a large table of data (26x175)... How do I pin the column headings so that when I scroll down to the bottom of the data, the headings stay fixed at the top of my screen? I didn't know how to even begin to phrase this question to get the right answer through the Micro$oft help or other websites. Ahh yes good ol Excel. Something like Lock Column Headings, under one of the toolbars somewhere IIRC.

I went with Washington considering they signed Jamie Sharper today.
