  1. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 12:11 PM) Ha, I'm afraid to see what this place is going to look like when the sox have a two game losing streak. Could be pretty scary. We're turning into a bunch of qwerty's (sorry couldn't resist).
  2. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 12:15 PM) I wouldn't call Ozuna a aaa fodder, he raked in the minors, the problem is he aged a bit in one day. Most of us can agree though that it's ridiculous for people to be suggesting starting changes after 7 games. At best, Ozuna is an excellent bench guy, but not good enough to be an everyday player. Think Ross Gloadish.
  3. Guys, guys, guys it's been 1 week ok. Get back to me in a month if you still wanna replace Crede, and no Pablo Ozuna is not the guy.
  4. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 12:06 PM) Attention all posters: If you want to get yourself hated and become one of the more annoying posters around, start a thread like this.... Oh I can find worse than this don't worry. And we're winning, so every1 be happy.
  5. Huge game from Freddy today, even if he did have some luck with the wind. Pods put the small-ball theory into perfect effect today, and we were able to squeeze out the kind of win that we need to, if we want to win this division.
  6. Detroit may try to talk the talk, but they ain't going to be able to walk the walk. The back end of their rotation is weak, outfield defense is horrid, and they just ain't there yet. But knowing Mike Illitch, he'll give $10 - 12 million a season to Jeff Weaver, A.J Burnett or Brad Penny this off-season coming.

Man Date sounds so formal, at least go with a casual outing or something.
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 11:23 PM) but why mess with this team.... they obviously have great chemestry.... whatevr happened to, if it aint broken dont fix it. They may be good, but you're always looking for ways to make your team even better. It's up to Pax and Skiles and the direction they want to take.
  9. Oh the irony, the irony peoples!!!!!

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 03:27 PM) Sex in a kangaroo??? Ok, dumb joke of the day. Unless you like lots of mucus........ then no. But it tastes good, kangaroo that is.
  11. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 02:50 PM) I'd say the Muts signing Kris Benson to the deal they did was just as dumb of a move. Same with the Dodgers giving JD Drew big bucks instead of Adrian Beltre. Piss poor. At least the Dodgers have an option on Drew after 2 seasons don't they if he's injured. But yes they should have resigned Beltre, and he's really going to produce for Seattle, and will be in his prime when that deal is up.

Sex in a Car is more of an American Thing.
  13. QUOTE(Be Good @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 02:26 PM) Wow he's still playing?? Yeah he's a relief pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals.
  14. QUOTE(danman31 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 02:03 PM) The more I look at our list the more I realize that it's absolutely ridiculous that Munoz is in the top 10. Oh well. You never were much of a fan of his were ya Dan.
  15. QUOTE(valponick @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 01:26 PM) I would take Griffey on the DL for Crede. So you wouldn't mind paying the rest of Griffey's deal.
  16. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 01:26 PM) You think that Cincy would trade Randa for Crede straight-up? No, but they could always do with some young pitching.
  17. QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 01:25 PM) Joe randa... and i have said it since free agency began. Quit stealing my ideas qwerty.
  18. That's 10 K's for Santana.
  19. Crede with a double. Miracles can happen.
  20. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 11:55 AM) To slow aussie I posted that ahead of you but you know how long it takes to send from down here.
  21. What's Santana's and Buerhle's pitch counts?
  22. Ok I'll say it again. The issue is this; Eddy Curry is NOT worth more than twice of what Samuel Dalemert is going to get. All this he's boxing out crap etc., doesn't hide the fact that he still can't rebound (they've gone down since last season), and isn't good as other aspects of his game other than scoring (the shooting guard in the center's mentality still remains). Hammer said it right when O ' Brien has totally misused Dalembert this season, and he'll be bolting no doubt. Look at his stats late last season and after the all - star break this season; POST ALL STAR BREAK - 11.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, 1.83 blocks GAMES IN APRIL 2005 - 14.6 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.20 blocks POST ALL STAR BREAK 2004 - 9.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.10 blocks. My original scenario remains the same, you sign Dalembert and Marshall, not only does this improve in defense and rebounding, but Marshall dramatically improves your 3 point shooting, and is a good scorer as well. And they both could be probably had for the mid - level exception, but the Bulls are going to have to move around some contracts, like they did last year with JC and the Junkyard Dog.
  23. I voted Pollak. They could do with a pass rusher from somewhere else other than their D-Line.
  24. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 11, 2005 -> 12:54 AM) Do you think the Twins are regretting losing Koskie and Guzman yet? Koskie probably, although he was injury prone for them. Guzman? No, Jason Bartlett is doing a good job, he'll have a better OBP, and will come about $3,500,000 cheaper. Minny fans are getting restless of Luis Rivas though, but they've been like that for a long time.
  25. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 10, 2005 -> 11:48 PM) I wonder if DBAH0 has seen this. No I haven't Knight (spent all day at the footy, watching the WORST game ever), but thanks for the heads up. They do need another safety, but they need a cover / free safety, and they can probably get one in the 3rd or 4th. I went for Jamaal Brown, although Pollak was tempting. Our LB'ers are ok chi-guy2, Scott Shanle came in for the last 3 games and really did a great job, Al Singelton has played on Tampa's Championship team, and was injured for most of last season, while we've got Dat Nguyen who's a tackling machine, and Bradie James who should keep improving. Brown gives us a good RT, and pretty much make our OL complete, which will be really, really, really important with Drew Bledsoe at QB. Torrin Tucker and Kurt Vollers will make good reserves along with Andre Gurode and Peterman. We had problems stopping the run last season, because our D-Line was horribly undersized, Marcellus Wiley was a bust, and we've taken steps to improve that by signing Jason Ferguson as the nose tackle in the 4-3 or 3-4, and Anthony Henry who not only is a good cover corner, but he's one of the best run stopping CB's in this league because of his size.
