QUOTE(TLAK @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 12:12 PM) He did hit 23 HR for him in '03. Exactly, I think Helms may have been overweight last season, but there were some factors for him not having a good season, and Yost thinks he can have an 03 like year, Miller Park is a hitters park and the lineup will have more protection with Carlos Lee in it as well.

QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 12:00 PM) 28 rbi...how the hell is he yosts fave? i would love cintron..i think he would excell under guillen like uribe. how about harris and diaz for cintron.. Helms is a Yost favorite because they were both together in Atlanta basically. And he thinks he can have a comeback year.
-
There's not really a fit here at all. Plus Helms is a Ned Yost favorite, so it's unlikely he'll sanction a move. I still want Cintron.

QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 01:12 AM) Harris and Rowand- 0 Anything Damon + Cabrera- 1 WS ring Hmmm Guess it true what they say You get what you pay for... So if Chan Ho Park put up crappy numbers still with his massive paycheck but was on a team that won a world series, he'd be worth signing too I guess.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) Why would you even be looking at this thread? Maybe he searched psych homework? Anyways Soxy is the right person to ask no doubt.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 09:33 AM) Where did you hear that he was going to be a catcher this year? In one of Phil Rogers' chat wraps I thought I recalled him saying he was going to take some reps at catcher and he was a better prospect than Lucy, but I could be wrong on that, and he might just stay at second.
-
He'll get a job somewhere next year, there's gonna be a lot of openings.
-
I'm still watching the Amazing Race 6 down here. Damn Kris is a hottie.
-
I'd prefer an evening draft because of the time difference.

As Dan said, I took Adam Ricks. Had an excellent first season of rookie ball coming out of Miami, and I think he'll continue that, as he'll probably start the season of at low A Kanny. He's meant to be taking some games at catcher as well, which will only increase his value. Is an excellent contact guy and should have a high OBP. Phil Rogers thought long - term he could be a better catcher than Donny Lucy.

Both have signed with the Cowboys according to various news and radio reports. Henry has signed because Todd Bowlen the ex Brown secondary coach moved to the Cowboys coaching staff in the same position this off-season, while Ferguson will be the new 3-4 NT for Parcells. Now if Cleveland can't sign a CB, Rolle or Jones at #3 can't be out of the question now.

Happy Birthday Murcie!!! I was going to send you over a Brunson Burner, but I thought better of it.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 02:53 PM) Iverson seemed to have shut everyone up and has one nothing? One nothing, lol? At least he made it to the NBA Finals.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 02:42 PM) I am sorry for forgetting the w and i know what it is from. Just saying the only people i hear or see saying that is orlando fans or people that are jealous of him. The only way he's going to silence the critics is to win a championship. Whether he can do that with a passive Yao Ming, I don't think so.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 02:15 PM) Why does it seem only magig fans call him ''me-mac''? Actually people that are jealous of him and want him on their team do too. He is one of the top three guards in the game not his fault all he had to work with last year was juan fishing howard. That's Juwan Howard. The origin of Me - Mac for those of you playing at home was from the Orlando Sentinel because of the comments he made in SI magazine saying he pulled a "Vince" and quit on the team.
-
Me-Mac and Mike James have more points together than the Bulls at the moment.

QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 01:36 PM) Daaaaaaaaaamn, I'll cook for him anytime. Yum. Does Ross Gload have some competition now Soxy?

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 01:26 PM) Don't you mean "poor?" Poor grammar? ...since we are being technical. This is going well.

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 01:23 PM) Eddy missing 4 straight FTs= a very pleased Willie Where's qwerty cursing when ya need him.

Key stat so far. Bulls TO's. 9 to 2, resulting in 9 more shots for the Rockets.
-
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 12:26 PM) Reports are that him and the Browns are pretty heated right now in terms of negotiations. The next week will give a better answer, imo. Either way, Kelly knows his best chance to start in the NFL is with Cleveland, although I think they might seriously make a run at trading for Chris Simms of Tampa Bay now, especially if the Bucs sign Jeff Garcia.

3rd note to Carl: Please excuse the poor grammar Signed, DBAH0

Me-Mac driving to the hole and not pulling up for soft jumpers. Un-f***in-believable.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 11:01 AM) He wasn't FA. This is just a contract renewal. He'll be arbitration eligible next season IIRC, so it's a big year for him no doubt.
