  1. QUOTE(quickman @ Jan 28, 2005 -> 12:34 PM) Vidro is in his last year isbn't he. They may plan ahead. He resigned with them last season for a 4 year $30 million deal I believe.
  2. QUOTE(quickman @ Jan 28, 2005 -> 12:22 PM) Your right basically none. But I still think he maybe moved. Who do the Nationals have? Jose Vidro. Definitely not a match there. I came up with these teams; Tampa Bay Pittsburgh Houston (unlikely since they want Soriano) St. Louis
  3. With each day that passes, it becomes more likely that Harris will be moved. Which team is going to want him as a starting second baseman though?
  4. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Jan 28, 2005 -> 05:12 AM) He posted once. Maybe that was too much for him. He only popped in once, and probably missed this thread. No big deal.
  5. Marat Safin beats World #1 Roger Federer in 5 amazing sets. 5-7,6-4,5-7,7-6,9-7. One of the most unbelieveable games I have ever seen. He'll play the winner of the Hewitt vs. Roddick Semi Final in 2 nights.
  6. Interesting read from the Southtown;
  7. YASNY is one of the best analysts of the White Sox and I always respect his opinion on anything.
  8. So the M's want their .230 hitter back;
  9. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 04:45 PM) Reports from Soxfest were that he was not "fat" -- The reported weight gain is nothing to be concerned about Steff or Mike from SoxFest also mentioned that Everett was in very good shape, so we've got nothing much to worry about on both counts which is good to see.
  10. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 08:18 PM) more orioles bashing -- http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/artic...n26.html?sub=AR The key word in that piece is SUPPOSED. Of course that'll be after Bora$$ sees a suitable offer from them first. EDIT: 100 pages on this thread. Boo yah!!!

    WGN guys

    You don't want to listen to Hawk or DJ? Ok, I'll give you this easy solution. Move down here. :banghead
  12. I pose this question. We signed Jermaine Dye to a 2 year $10.15 milion deal. Maggs and Bora$$ think he can get 4 years $52 million, which would more than double what Dye is going to make. Who here thinks Dye could have better offensive numbers than Maggs next season, just solely based on the fact Dye is going to hit half his games at the Cell?
  13. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) Rick White AND Todd Ritchie? Impressive Does Dave Littlefield want to become the next GM of the White Sox or something?
  14. QUOTE(qwerty @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 07:45 PM) They are still considered one of the worst run baseball teams in all of baseball by me no matter what happens. Oh yeah, that's definitely true. Angelos would have to be one of the worst owners in baseball, and some of their moves over the past few seasons have been mind boggling to say the least.
  15. I think we have control of him arbitration wise for another 2 or 3 seasons, but the Sox have shown this season with Rowand and Uribe that they'll get these guys locked up. Maybe Crede will change agents like Uribe did if he really wants to stay here.
  16. QUOTE(da_bears86 @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 04:15 PM) and yet he doesnt post in his thread Would you like a thread just to feel special then?
  17. QUOTE(Mathew @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 06:33 PM) Yeah I can't remember who won it last year but I know I was close at the end for sure. I'll play again with ya's. I think you did actually. I was in 1st for pretty much all season, thanks to me having Schmidt and Santana basically, and then the final week of playoffs I was away, and ended up losing. Blah.
  18. QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 04:05 PM) should i be afraid... because I am Unless it's Rick Brunson coming back to Chicago, I don't think you got much to worry bout Murcie.
  19. Just wait a month from now, when the Bulls play all those road games, they may not even be in the top 8 when that finishes.

    Films

    I'm probably going to see Closer sometime soon, it just comes out here today. Of course having Natalie Portman in it doesn't hurt.
  21. I'm going to shy away from the normal and state Dye for the offense and Garcia for the pitching, even though Contreras or Garland are the obvious choices for pitching, while a lot of players could be used for the offense. Dye's still an unknown, and he will K over 100 times a season, that is a given. If he can step up and hit .280, 30 HR's and 100 RBI's, that would be just huge, and given us some much needed production. Garcia will probably win about 15 games this season, that's a given. However, he's a flyball pitcher, and will probably struggle at the Cell, like Buerhle did last season. If he prove me wrong however, he could step up and win some more games, which could be crucial in the division race.
  22. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 27, 2005 -> 03:07 PM) IU just lost to Minnesota 70-65... Kind of funny the Minnesota crowd was doing the "overrated" chant. Minnesota is now 14-5, and we're now 9-8. We're overrated, how?!?!? Wow how the hell can Minny be 14-5 and Indy 9-8? I'm no college B-Ball expert, but that ain't supposed to happen, right?
  23. I love how Bora$$ says how they're in the PROCESS of giving teams medical records etc. Just wait until spring training if a team doesn't come up with a so called "suitable" offer, and they'll still be in the process of doing that. Bora$$ thinks now that teams missed out no Delgado, they are going to be falling over themselves to sign Maggs, think again. If Detroit wants to offer 4 years $40 million, that's the most he's going to get. Period.
