  1. Nice first post, welcome to SoxTalk.
  2. Milton's stayin in Philly or going to Boston to join Mientkiewiecz. Book it. Lowe will probably go to Detroit, or Philly if they don't resign Milton. Radke will probably be resigned by the Twinkies at around $10 mill. Red Sox will only make a run if they lose Pedro and miss out on Pavano. Perez looks like the best option.
  3. Those 3 are all expensive. Edomonds won't leave St. Louis, Clemens will never leave Houston and Walker is still with the Cards for another season. It's 1 thing to say we need a difference maker, it's another thing, when we've got numerous holes in our lineup, rotation and bullpen that need to be filled first.
  4. Wonder if this could impact on the Hunter trade talks now.
  5. I used to. And this was already posted on the Flying under the radar thread.
  6. Looks like a pretty good prospect. If Bogut would stay at Utah for another year, than I'd think May would have probably gone there instead.
  7. Hey a local boy from Melbourne where I live. Sweet. I'm going for IU for sure now.
  8. Pretty sure Perez's away splits were as good as his home splits this season, so I wouldn't be that worried. An ERA of 4 would be a great result if he pitched here. Here they are, HOME - 3-3, 3.31 ERA, 24 BB's, 67 K's. AWAY - 4-3, 3.21 ERA, 20 BB's, 61 K's.
  9. I doubt the Yankees would trade their best playoff hitter in order to get a whining K machine like Sosa.
  10. It'd be nice to get a prospect back like Josh Rupe or even a bullpen guy to add to that deal possibly.
  11. That's definitely been the scenario thrown around. Of course with Sexson and Delgado on the FA market, it'll be hard to move Sweeney, and he had a trade kicker in his deal too. I forgot about Alou, if the Cubs don't pick up his option, which they certainly won't, he'll go to the Giants. I doubt they could put up with Dustan Mohr and Michael Tucker in the outfield for another season.
  12. Would a package of Crede and Garland be enough for Teixeira possibly, although I still definitely don't want to give up on Garland. The Sox have said they've fixed a mechanical problem with Crede's swing, but I'm not getting my hopes up, even though he could break out like Beltre at any time, which worries the heck out of KW.
  13. Jason's right, if the Cubs want to move Sosa, they'll have to move very quickly. The only other 2 places that have been mentioned are Kansas City and the Mets, although I could possibly see the Giants making an offer if they miss out on a starting pitcher or an outfielder like Maggs.
  14. As with my postseason prediction , I'm pickin the Red Sox in 7. Should be a great series though.
  15. Substitute Beltran with Boras and you're spot on.
  16. That's up there with the funny sigs SuperSteve used to make.
  17. I don't know what the FA market for third baseman is in the next off-season, but if Crede still struggles, the White Sox are going to be really annoyed to didn't sign a Koskie or even Mueller. But if we can sign Vizquel and move Uribe to 3rd possibly, that's of course if Willie can start to hit against LHP which I ain't gonna get my hopes up for.
  18. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie. Oi, Oi, Oi. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie. Oi, Oi, Oi. Aussie, Oi. Aussie, Oi. Aussie, Aussie Aussie. Oi, Oi, Oi. Also when you get a bunch of drunken poms numerously chanting Balmy Army.
  19. In this month's Cable TV Magazine I just got, they put in live NHL games on ESPN. Couldn't help but laugh.
  20. You guys will have 5 QB's on the roster if you make this move, can't see it happenin.
  21. Ravens Giants Eagles Colts Vikings Panthers Rams Buccaneers Falcons Patriots Packers Seahawks Raiders Broncos
  22. The joys of watching a Fox Broadcast without Tim McCarver. Suppan's pitch count getting high, he'll be done soon.
