  1. I drafted Peavy in about the 5th last round of a Fantasy Draft, and he's probably been my best pitcher. If it wasn't for him arm injury mid - season, he could be NL Cy Young material no doubt.
  2. I probably shouldn't have used those two as an example, Jason Marquis probably would have been better, but you can try to see the point I'm making at least. We trade Garland, it'll come back to haunt us, because he'll pitch real well for some other team.
  3. If Garland was pitching in a park like PETCO he would have far better numbers no doubt. But he's still only 24, been pitching in the majors for 3 or 4 years now, and to me if we trade him it'll be Kip Wells all over again.
  4. We cannot give up on another young pitcher in my mind. The backlash would be too great if KW traded Jon, and he really came on next season. Look at Jake Peavy's season last year compared to this year's. 2003 - 12-11, 156 K's, 82 BB's, 4.11 ERA. 2004 - 14-6, 162 K's, 52 BB's, 2.25 ERA. Also look at Oliver Perez's numbers. 2003 - 4-7, 5.38 ERA with San Diego. 0-3, 5.87 ERA with Pittsburgh. 2004 - 10-10, 3.14 ERA, 225 K's, 75 BB's. Jon would be a perfect 5th starter for us next season, and there wouldn't be as much pressure on him to perform, if we signed a top of the line starter.
  5. I always get the Anterior Cruciate Ligamint mixed up with the Posterior Cruciate Ligamint. Too bad no-one's heard of Osteitis Pubis yet, cos that's a sport injury that regulary occurs down here with sports players now.
  6. I could only see them dealin Shields and McPherson for a real big player like Randy Johnson. Of course with Glaus leaving probably for Seattle, they'll need McPherson at third unless they want to keep Chone Figgins there.
  7. Jags have the best D-Line of any team at the moment, Stroud and Henderson are two fantastic DT's to clog the middle. They remind me a lot of last year's Carolina Panthers.
  8. There's been rumors Anaheim could want Konerko perhaps. Any chance of a Joe Crede, Damaso Marte, Joe Borchard and Paul Konerko for Scott Shields, Dallas McPherson and Jose Guillen deal perhaps?
  9. And yet he has a better record and ERA on the road.
  10. I'm worried that's the only reason ppl are voting for me. And Spiff had to include his name as well.
  11. Byron Leftwich is quickly becoming the 4th quarter comeback specialist in the NFL.
  12. If you were playing any other team than Arizona today, you guys probably would have lost. I'll giv you your props though, when Hall comes back, you'll hav a better secondary as well.

    Your suckiest job

1 job working at K-Mart for 3 years now, it's gettin pretty boring, but I need the money.
  14. What about what-not? :rolly
  15. I think Dan's on top of that job.
  16. They put up 35 points against a very good Dallas D. With no Tillman and Brown, I think the Vikes could score 50.
  17. Uribe is good enough to play SS defensively no doubt. From what I've heard, he's got good range, and a good arm. His versatility only helps as well.
  18. Long - term, if Crede and Reed post the same stats, you would take Crede no doubt. It is a lot easier to find an everyday outfielder than an everyday third baseman. This offseason, the Sox should shop Crede around to see what type of return he can bring in a trade. If we can get something good, you trade him, and sign Koskie for a 2 year deal until Josh Fields is ready. Otherwise, you hang onto Crede and hope he can live up to his potential for another season, while you fill other needs.

    A Raided Party

Well at least you weren't laughing instead of smiling I guess.
  20. Doubt it will be happening. Uploading heaps of pics puts a real strain on the bandwith for the site, that's why when the server was being moved and changed, we had to delete all the hot chick pics.
  21. And what type of a prospect do you consider that to be, a can't miss?
  22. We won't be moving Contreras to the pen, when we will be paying him $14 million over the next 2 seasons I think. Like it or not, he'll definitely be in our rotation, his upside is just way too high to give up on.
