  1. A CB or WR will probably be the main positions to go after for the Bears. The Cowboys have 2 1st round picks in the 2005 draft, so if you have a top 5 pick and want to trade down, maybe there's a deal there, but I'd think Parcells and Jones would want the top CB on the board as well.
  2. Some news I found; Now what are the chances of acquiring Damon to be our leadoff hitter, and moving Rowand to right? If Mientkiewicz doesn't resign with the Red Sox, not sure if he's on a 1 or 2 year deal, maybe we could offer them Paul Konerko for Damon, with some prospects moving as well.
  3. Indiana has a winning football team. Wow, I hope the Basketball team is taking note.
  4. Damn I can't believe it's beating The Princess Diaries 2.
  5. Personally I think you'll hav a the same year as Jacksonville did last season. You've got a brutal schedule early, but you'll win some games later on in the year and finish 5-11.
  6. Personally I think its a worse loss than this time last year. Your at home against a team that previously lost 24 straight on the road.
  7. Gibbons would make about $4 million next season, which is what Everett will be making I think, or about $4.5 million. Gibbons' numbers this season are .216 with 9 HR's. OUCH.
  8. Haha, our election's earlier than yours.
  9. At the moment, Everett is slow and overweight, but he's still a prety good DH and able to hit around .260. IF and only IF he can get in shape this offseason, lose some weight like Ozzie wants, and is able to get back to his early 2003 Texas Rangers form, then $4 million wouldn't look too bad at all.
  10. A lot of people around here hav wanted Omar Vizquel to replace Jose Valentin at SS. But if we could get Cabrera for $5 million, when it looked like he'd get around $8 million at the start of the season, then I'd be all for it. He'd be a perfect #2 hitter for us, allowing Willie or A-Row to lead off, although Rowand hitting 7th looks very tempting. Who knows, the Red Sox could go with a infield combo of Bellhorn and Reese, which would probably be their best defensive combo they could get.
  11. Free Agent Article Here are some of the free agents that will interest us;
  12. Yeah pretty much, here's what Phil Rogers thought of him before this season;
  13. Chris Young is the starting CF for Kanny this season. He was drafted in the 18th round in the 2002 draft from Bellaire High School. He just turned 21 last week. He hits and throws right. He's a classic tools prospect who's hitting .262 with 24 HR's and 31 SB's. However he has 66 BB's and 145 K's. Long term, if all goes well he could become a Mike Cameron type of guy in center field.
  14. Putting things into perspective: Garland pitches 6 innings with 1ER and doesn't pick up a win. Grilli pitches 5 innings with 5ER and picks up a win. I'd go with Diaz as the 5th starter as well, but it'll be hard to move Grilli when he's winnin.
  15. Only for the right price, next season if he pitches in a hitters park will be a big test for him. There's plenty of top starters on the market this off-season, we shouldn't have to overpay for one, and then we can fix other holes in this lineup.
  16. Every1 in the starting lineup got a hit, 8 runs in the 2nd inning, and only 1 home run for Gload for the team.
  17. I might use the old labtop we hav down here for Linux, but I wanna take that overseas next year so I'm not sure yet.
  18. Congrats to the offense for showing up tonight, and another win for Grilli.
  19. Nice to see some offense, Grilli's been lucky with his run support lately.
  20. Here is my desktop from Mr. Zero's webspace, although I hav 3 different rotating ones now, with the program that whitesoxfan56789 recommended. And no, it's not that messy now.
  21. The Yanks will definitely make an offer, especially if they void Kevin Brown's contract, but that probably won't happen now. The Giants will make a big push for him too because Pedro is real good friends with Felipe Alou back from their Montreal days I believe. Personally I wouldn't shelve out $12 million for Pedro. I'd rather sign Odalis Perez for around $7 to $8 million, and spend the rest of the money we'd save on Pedro towards a closer like Benitez, an outfielder like Frank Catalanotto or an infielder like Omar Vizquel or Corey Koskie.
  22. Only good FA closer on the market this year, if he was smart I think he would stay with the Fishies though.
