I'm almost the complete opposite of you. My family went to church HEAPS when I was younger, but we've just stopped going. Holidays like Easter and Christmas we end up going though.

If Maggs leave, which looks more likely by the day, we'll need a replacement in RF. That'll be either Carl Everett or the guy I'd prefer Frank Catalanotto. SS and 3B and the main holes I see in this lineup. If we could go out and sign Omar Vizquel and Corey Koskie to fill them, our lineup will be so much deeper and dangerous.

If he hits everyday against lefties, I wouldn't be at all suprised.

In my economics lecture yesterday, (I have an American Lecturer by the way), he said it's been a very bad week. The crisis in Russia etc. but he said the worst part was seeing the Republican Convention and knowing the GWB would prob be around for 4 more years. I thought that was pretty funny.

Some team will look at his power numbers though and offer him a starting job though. But when you look at his average and his OBP is below .300, I don't want him around on the Southside any longer. I was extremely upset when we picked up his $5 million option last off - season, because I thought we could get a better replacement. Hopefully we will this off - season.

Soriano didn't want to play CF for the Rangers this year I recall, so they had to keep him at 2B and move Michael Young to SS. Doubt he'll change his mind if we acquire him either.

Despite the bad year Garland has had, he's still recorded double digits for wins, which is a lot better than other 4th starters in this league. Alfonso Soriano is a younger version of Jose Valentin, only he'll steal more bases, and hit 10 more home runs. Plus he'll be making $8 million dollars next season in arbitration, if we trade for him, you can kiss the likes of us signing Vizquel or Koskie goodbye. And the fans in Texas were booing him last night as well, so take that FWIW.

The problem I have with that scenario is what happens if Diaz doesn't perform as the 5th starter next year? Who else do we turn to, Josh Stewart? Arnie Munoz again? I would rather keep Garland, bump him down to the 5th spot in the rotation, and sign Odalis Perez or Matt Clement to be a #2 or #3 starter in our rotation.

Pretty much, he's up for his fielding. He's Ozzie's type of SS, but if he's only going to hit around .240 starting without taking a walk, than yes he won't be a starter in this league.

Gotta hav something with Man Hands in it.

Don't forget we also have Wilson Valdez to possibly fill that role next season as well, should be an interesting off-season just to see what happens at 2B, SS and 3B next season.

Looking forward to see how Ricks performs next year possibly in Kanny or Winston - Salem, he's had a good season in Great Falls.

I think a lot more ppl could watch golf more now though if there's a chance at a particular tournament that Tiger could get his #1 spot if he wins, we'll just hav to wait and see though.

Good for golf I think, I think Tiger will work a lot harder with his game now to get back the #1 spot. But in a few years I also think the Aussie Adam Scott will be right up there with Els, Woods and Singh.

Absolutely, Diaz can be a 4th or 5th starter in future years for the White Sox, I can't see Grilli being that in the long - term. Personally I'd shut down Garcia for the season, and keep Diaz and Grilli in the rotation for the rest of the year with Buerhle, Contreras and Garland.
