  1. Yep. He wanted us to take back Roger Cedeno as well.
  2. Possible Headlines: How Brian Anderson and Jeremy Affledt will both win 20 games in 2004. Why no KC player (Juan Gonzalez) will be injured this season. Mike Sweeney is the League's MVP. Why Carlos Beltran will resign with the Royals.
  3. Tracy McGrady (T-Mac) - Orlando Magic Mark Buerhle - Chicago White Sox Roy Williams - Dallas Cowboys

    Whoa

Who wouldn't want to be a General Manager of a Sports Franchise. Well except, for maybe the Scrubs and Twinkies.

    Franken-woman

    Is that a droolin smily?
  6. Too bad Luis Gonzalez is beatin him out for playin time.
  7. Still don't see it happenin. We sign Mark Blount and Brent Barry, to play C and PG, trade Drew Gooden for a SF like Vladimir Radmanovic and draft Okafor to play C and PF with Juwan Howard, we can easily finish top 4 in the East next year. That's how bad the East is. Also we get Pat Garrity back from injury to knock down 3's, and then of course there's Grant Hill.
  8. Except that he's only closed 2 games in his career for Charlotte and Modesto.
  9. Yeah this could make or break ARow. He's finally got CF all to himself, and needs to start producin. Unfortunately if he doesn't he's got Reed and Borchard breathing down his neck at Charlotte.
  10. I think Billy himself knows he fast runnin out of oppurtunities. Interestin today though, not many closers had good days though, Koch, Joe Nathan and Leskanic all got shelled. Nice to hav u back postin too aboz.
  11. Koch deserves 1 or 2 more oppurtunities. We all know in all likelihood Marte will be the closer next year if we let Koch walk in FA, and we don't sign another closer, so he'll be given the next oppurtunity. Wright is an interestin option, one the team must look at if he continues to struggle as a starter. Politte is doin very well setting up in the 7th and 8th innings, I'd leave him where he is. He doesn't hav a good track record as a closer.
  12. I'll be lookin forward to kickin ur guys asses on Thanksgiving. Should be a great game.
  13. Last time I heard Biddle was still closing, although Chad Cordero could take ova for him soon. Willis, Beckett and Penny hav been on fire so far this year. Rite now I'd say they r the best 3 in baseball, afta Zito got roughed up against Texas last nite.
  14. I didn't giv up hope, I was just asleep the whole time.
  15. Timo won't be startin for us, if Rowand's strugglin Reed will get called up. Reed's already hittin ova .300 in Charlotte.
  16. You might neva get the chance again to catch a baseball if u throw it back, there's no way in hell I'd do that.
  17. Wow, only 11,000. Hopefully it'll pick up, and this will be the smallest home crowd of the season.
  18. U can put it in the bag. He'll be there by September at the latest.
  19. I dunno why ppl hav soured on Anderson already. He's got more power potential then Sweeney, is a legiminate 5 tool prospect, and will be a great asset 1 day in CF with his arm. I think Borchard's more likely to be traded especially if he doesn't produce at Charlotte.
  20. I hope every1 had a great time at openin day, certainly sounds like it was a blast.
  21. It's funny how things turn around. 6 months ago A LOT of posters around here were open to the idea of lettin Maggs walk or him bein traded in order to sign Colon and hav more payroll flexibility. My thinkin is that Maggs wants a player option, but KW and JR want a team option for that 5th year. If he continues hittin like he has so far, I think we'll see a deal done sooner rather than later.

  23. US LINGERIE retailer Victoria's Secret has scrapped its annual televised fashion show, featuring scantily clad supermodels, in the wake of Janet Jackson's bare-breast brouhaha. Limited Brands, which owns the lingerie chain, decided to cancel the annual show several weeks ago, after Jackson's breast was revealed to 100 million Americans watching the Super Bowl's half-time show on CBS television on February 1. CBS had televised the lingerie show for the past two years after Walt Disney-owned ABC television dropped it following numerous complaints from the US government's television watchdog, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and from senior Disney executives. "It was a mutual decision (with CBS)," said Ed Razek, Limited Brands' chief marketing officer. Last year, CBS advertised the show by promising the "sexiest night in television". Women's and parents' groups have criticised the show, but in 2002 the FCC ruled that it did not violate indecency laws. But CBS has faced a mountain of criticism and an FCC clampdown on indecency since Jackson's Super Bowl scandal. Razek said the FCC's tougher policing since the Jackson incident influenced just 25 percent of the decision to cancel the lingerie show. "We thought that our time and effort and money could be better spent positioning Victoria's Secret as a holiday gift-giving destination," he said.
  24. U seriously didn't mean that did u?
