  1. DID YOU SEE THAT PITCH? What was it, a floating 87 mph slider that Dye fouled back? Anytime he wants to show up this series is fine with me. f***ing dead.
  2. Blackburn has looked terrible thus far. The four hits have atleast proven they can see him well. Again, anything less than four runs by the 5th inning is unacceptable.
  3. Do we ever beat out DPs? Minnesota has already beat out two.
  4. The last thing you expect is a DP. Let's see if it happens.
  5. Is Minnesota undefeated at home? Otherwise, shut the f*** up Hawk. I'm tired of this s***.
  6. Wise struckout on a meat pitch up, and once again, the momentum shifts away from us. Why is it this series, even in game 2, we seem completely unable to hit high changeups or hanging breaking balls?
  7. Minnesota should be doing this, not the White Sox. If nothing else, we obviously are seeing Blackburn. There should be 4 runs on the board by the 5th.
  8. Damn. We needed a missed strike three, a misplay by the RF AND Blackburn misplaying a ball that should have gone foul to score a run.
  9. It's embarrassing to watch the difference between these teams when the leadoff runner reaches. For us, it's immediately a DP. For them, they're threatening.
  10. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?autocom=chat Unlike the White Sox, the chat never chokes away September leads.
  11. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Sep 24, 2008 -> 06:01 PM) bring it I'll be there, broseph. Don't worry.
  12. QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ Sep 23, 2008 -> 09:09 PM) "CAN WE GET A HOT DOG GUY OVER HERE?!" - yelled like they needed a medic, audible on broadcast. Highlight of the night so far.
  13. QUOTE (BlackBetsy @ Sep 23, 2008 -> 09:06 PM) Would be nice to score a couple of runs and make the Twins bullpen lack confidence.
  14. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Sep 23, 2008 -> 09:08 PM) LOL. Thanks for posting that, because it reminded me that unlike 05 when this was going around, even if we win the division this year, we are going NOWHERE, and like fathom said... I won't lose much sleep over this season. Hell, even without all of Ozzie's colossal f***-ups... this still would still be in the s***ter.
  15. I've decided until the White Sox win a game in Minnesota, or reach the playoffs -- whichever comes first -- I'm only speaking with choking pictures. Beginning now.
  16. It's sickening to hear some of you say a sweep is inevitable. And you know I'm never one to say something like this. What we're saying here is exactly what the players are thinking. This "OMG, history is repeating itself!" s***. If they don't win one of the next two games, there are but a handful of players I'd want on this team next season. If they can't get over playing in this dome, why will it be any different next year? How about we develop a few players or maybe bring in some that don't piss at the thought of THE DOME.
  17. What exactly does Hawk see in Kubel that's a "budding star?" He's a fat pile of s*** with limited talent.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 23, 2008 -> 08:38 PM) How many bad pitches can we let Baker get away with right now? How many times has Hawk said some variation of "he had a good pitch to hit?" Six? Seven? You have to score a run here. It's a choke otherwise. You know Minnesota would hit a GS if they were down four.
  19. What we're watching isn't Baker dominating. It's the offense choking. Baker has looked TERRIBLE. He can't find the zone worth a s***, continually pitches his changeup up and hangs his breaking ball, yet we can't do anything.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 23, 2008 -> 08:20 PM) Javy will be traded this offseason, no doubt about it. Good. After tonight I'm just tired of watching him. He's not even a terrible pitcher overall, but I want him out of a White Sox uniform. Is he doing anything but choking right now?
  21. BTW, Baker looked terrible through the first four innings. They should have atleast four runs off him by the six. He has been like Vazquez in the amount of hanging breaking balls thrown.
  22. Here's the problem with this team. Don't we already know how this will go? They'll somehow score a few more runs, maybe make it 4-1, and then Vazquez will start dominating the Twins when we're behind. This is f***ing EMBARRASSING.
