  1. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 09:12 PM) Not just because we won, but that was a great, great baseball game. Guys on both sides went at it 110% and almost flawlessly. One mistake, one bomb, ballgame. Random thoughts: Perhaps he was stunned from the collision, but AJ showing Cuddyer the ball instead of the ump was bad ass and hilarious. I loved that as well, because you know it absolutely pissed off Twins fans -- and likely the players. When I first saw it I said to myself, "if the Twins win this game they're going to say that moment was motivation." I understand time and time again why people hate him. Just glad he's on our team. Compared to other stadiums the stands aren't lit well. The blackout also gave an odd illusion of emptiness on TV. Almost like the stadium wasn't completely full.
  2. I absolutely hate Vazquez, especially after his last two starts, but I'm behind him here. It's obvious he wets himself in big games. But maybe, just once, he'll have an aberration. It'll go a ways towards people forgiving him if we happen to make the ALCS.
  3. I had it wrong all along. After the Twins series I thought we were the chokers, when really, they existed the series with .5 a game lead against us and were facing the Royals. It almost feels more fulfilling with this division championship because of what we went through, and the fact it was played at home and many fans will have good memories of tonight.
  4. There should be a donation set up for every hanging breaking ball Blackburn throws. If last game is any indication we should do quite well.
  5. Why aren't there five runs on the board off this scrub? Anything less than this by the five inning is failure. I'm seeing the same crappy breaking ball as I did in Minnesota.
  6. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 06:40 PM) We're preparing the corpse for the funeral. The corpse has risen from its grave. For now. But if it doesn't do our bidding I'll knock its ass back into the hole.
  7. This is the true rallying picture. I may just go to USCF after the game and hang out around the stadium. As we've seen, potential division championships aren't guaranteed and who knows how long it'll be until the next one. It sure as hell has been long enough since we've celebrated any clinching game at home (Bo Jacksons HR).
  8. This thread is going to be huge. Over 1200 posts with three more innings to go. It may eclipse 2000, which has only be reached one time in Soxtalk history -- Game 3 of the WS. And yes, I took the time to look through the archives.
  9. QUOTE (The Beast @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 04:33 PM) See, when we win and some of these guys are the heros of the game, I'm going to love to see all of the quotes that people should bring up on this board. 2-1 White Sox win, anyone? MMMM BEASTLY. After Floyd leaves, it has to be Dotel/Thornton/Jenks. Hopefully be then we will have already scored a run. If it goes extras, well, we'll have to outslug Detroit.
  10. They're choking. Unbelievable. Garcia is not 5IP, 2H good. This is quickly becoming embarrassing. Typical White Sox of the last month.
  11. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 01:49 PM) I feel so bad for Levi. I don't feel bad for him, but when I watched his body language at the Republican National Convention he had that look of "I wish I never met this girl." He probably knows if he doesn't play along with whatever the demands of the Palins are he's never going to have a career in Alaska. This includes accompanying the whole family in front of cameras and being forced into a wedding. He may love her, yes, but I doubt it was his decision to announce a marriage during the election.
  12. You ignore it until you have further proof than just an article in the National Enquirer. These stories are always going to viewed under speculation until you produce an incriminating photo or video. Then the media can do what it wants. Also, I suppose it'd be helpful to actually read the article haha. Which I have not.

  14. Yes. Myself. That's all that matters.
  15. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 09:39 PM) And even there, you say they'll sweep because you think it's the least likely thing they'll do. What exactly was I supposed to use to support my opinion, our team-wide success in the dome? Here's the entire quote, BTW: http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...t=#entry1750928 It sounds a little bit different than how you portray it, wouldn't you say?
  16. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 10:31 PM) You're a f***ing joke. You do nothing but cut down this team. Did you read the first paragraph of my post? If you don't believe me go back several pages on this forum and browse through the poll asking how the Sox would fare in Minnesota. Anyways, they deserve to be cut down.
  17. I've tried being positive this entire week. First, by believing they'd sweep Minnesota IN Minnesota. Next, these last two days I thought maybe after viewing the scoreboard midgame and noticing how KC had defeated Minnesota they'd suddenly have renewed energy. Now, I'm done hoping. They're going to choke tomorrow. If ANYTHING, Minnesota and us with both lose and we'll back into a Monday game. I'm sure we'll lose to Garcia. It'd only be appropriate. Oh, and if we're all going back to old avatars, signatures, banners and other pathetic attempts to swing mojo, I may as well bring back my old avatar.
  18. Well, atleast we have McCulloch to provide the role of comedy relief when Broadway is release/traded/sold for scrap. He...is...terrible.
  19. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 06:55 PM) Travis ".640 OPS" Hafner's twin. This is Hafner's other twin:
  20. I propose a Soxtalk ban on the numbers "2005." It's done. We should quit talking about it.
  21. We're preparing the corpse for the funeral.
  22. Broadway warming The people in the outfield better be awake because there are going to be some missles in the seats soon. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?autocom=chat
