  1. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/stor...yson&id=1818887 Look at the date of this article: May 26. The breaking of contract negotiations is based on the column posted in Newsday several weeks ago, which Magglio said was false. Although it wouldn't suprise me that Magglio is lying, I would find it odd how not ONE reporter in Chicago knew about the "broken negotiations." Every article created on this topic used Newsday as a reference; no other reporter has validated the claims of the New York paper.
  2. She's not underraged. While these sites may be objectionable to you, I'm positive the owners of the site took proper precautions in posting her pictures.
  3. Jeckle, in no way did the umpires decide this game. There were two circumstances which did go against us. Coincidentally, both were made by the third base umpire: 1. Third inning: The grounder which Crede touched foul, but was called fair. Thankfully it didn't lead to any runs. 2. Fourth inning: With 2 outs, Miguel Olivo fires a snap throw into third. From all camera angles it appeared the runner (whoever it was) was tagged out. Hawk commented "I have no idea how he's safe." Every game has its share of bad officiating. Far as today, don't look much beyond the Sox for the reason this game was lost. Terrible pitching, lack of cluth hitting (outside of the ninth), and lack of fundementals (fourth inning from hell) decided our fate.
  4. Second walk of the inning for Botch.
  5. Too late. He already walked a hitter. Maybe next inning.
  6. Billy is finally beginning to use his curveball, which is showing good break. If he compliments this with his fastball he will become better.....the problem in past games is he would consistently hang these pitches up.
  7. You like him, alright. I admit he's a standup guy who never attempts to shed blame for a bad performace. But you have to agree he's a terrible pitcher who has no business in ANY closers role.
  8. I'm looking forward to Ozzies post game comments on bringing in Koch: "I was trying to build Beelee's con- fee-dence."
  9. This is ridiculous. GET OUT THERE OZZIE.
  10. The boos have begun. 11-6 Phillies. Bad move Ozzie, this was not the proper situation to build up Botch's confidence.
  11. What a situation for Koch to come in: two men on with one out. Though I couldn't distinguish many boos from the crowd.......
  12. Get this: Koch is warming. Dont' do it Ozzie, this game is stil within reach.
  13. Not much bite on his breaking pitches, and when he did get it over.......well, it was hammered. The warm, humid weather has also played an effect on the flight of the ball tonight.
  14. I believe the last time he did that (first pitch swinging in a bases loaded situation) Sox were winning. Carlos has to be ready to take pitches.
  15. Big Frank, need a big hit from you. No more half pussy swings that end in a popup
  16. If I'm Ozzie I'm intentionally walking Thome. But Neil is doing good with a 1-2 count.
  17. Its painfully obvious the Twins will pull into a tie for first place tonight. The baseball gods will make sure of it f***ing Adkins isn't making in any easier for our team to come back.
  18. Does anyone know if you say Placido's first name as (Pla sid O, as Hawk does) or Pla CEE Do (as I've often heard it)
  19. Its plays like Joses near miss that tells me we're not destined to win this game.
  20. WHAT THE f***!? Thome taps the ball and it flies out while Valentin puts a f***ing charge in it and it stays in. Dammit.
  21. Rowand, think contact. While a three run homerun would be great, a run scoring single is what he should be striving for.
  22. Sox are traveling to Montreal next week. That will become the perfect opportunity for Buehrle/Garland to lower their ERA's.
  23. That was no cookie. Thome hit a bad pitch out of the zone to the opposite field. This guy just feels too comfortable against us.
  24. Now we're going to hear from the media how Ozzie should of pulled Garland last inning. This is f***ing ridiculous how much Thome kills us.
  25. Warm that bullpen Ozzie. Garland is getting hit hard, that last foul missed being a homerun by a few feet. 3-2 count on the first batter. No walks JOn
